The internet has dramatically revolutionised many industries. It has become a global means to the way we communicate, learn and trade without borders. However, it is not yet ubiquitous with billions of people still left unconnected globally.

Cryptography and blockchain innovations are disrupting the status quo of centralised and trust-based transaction ecosystems, particularly in nancial payment, contract management and asset management areas, just to name a few. Unfortunately, these innovations are only available on the internet.

mCoin is a uniquely inclusive cryptocurrency, which

aims to provide the 3 billion people who are

ABSTRACT

unconnected, a way to participate in

the digital cryptocurrency

revolution for social and economic

growth.

// 5 //

mCoin is a new digital cryptocurrency based on the original Bitcoin Blockchain enabling technology.

What sets mCoin apart from other cryptocurrencies is that it is a universal and inclusive cryptocurrency accessible even without the internet.

As a cryptocurrency, mCoin is not controlled by a central entity. It is created by people and businesses using computer software to solve mathematical puzzles.

mCoin is a unique cryptocurrency because it is accessible even without the internet, via a oine virtual wallet.

Unlike other other digital cryptocurrencies there are two ways to acquire mCoin.

The rst is through traditional mining, you are a “miner” and receive mCoins after veried transactions have been added to the public ledger / blockchain.

The second is “ Pseudo Mining” - Pseudo Mining is a term created by the ONEm team. It enables people without the internet to acquire mCoins through a type of proof of work from activities in the ONEm ecosystem that generates points for mCoins.

INTRODUCTION

// 6 //

Digital cryptocurrency, by nature, is limited to people who have access to the internet, thus

excluding the 3 billion people who do not have access to the

internet or a smartphone. Internet roll out is still

happening at a slower pace than needed. The rapid adoption of

blockchain technology for distributed network

based transactions and cryptocurrency

on the internet is widening the digital

gap further for nearly half of

the world’s population.

Collaboration and open standards allow platforms and services to scale rapidly – by forging strong relationships with mobile operators, regulators and other key stakeholders, ONEm can narrow the digital gap by linking the internet with the ONEm ecosystem of mobile networks. Starting with enabling the 3 billion people with access to useful internet based content, ONEm is bringing cryptocurrency and blockchain innovations into the ONEm ecosystem with mCoin. mCoin aims to be widely adopted by mobile operators and small businesses who have a way to incentivise individuals to contribute.

OUR PARTNERSHIPSONEm has identied and recruited a number of strategic partners. The partnerships range from global news and content providers, like Reuters, Bloomberg, France24 through to localised strategic partnerships, who are able to provide localised information. First and foremost, the content needs to provide the local regions with valuable and up to date information, which ONEm users are able to access when they want it.

Being able to access information and services in this way has had a huge benet for the local and national population. The partners have also gained from this increased accessibility, enabling them to extend their reach to millions of new customers who would not have been able to access this information previously. This has been the source of the success so far. The best partnerships are where all of the stakeholders involved benet.

// 9 //

Abdellatif Bouziani, CEO of Smart Group“I fully believe in what ONEm is doing and I tell all operators to join and the faster we create this ecosystem, the better it will be for us as operators and for the users. This ecosystem will bring a new revenue stream and other ideas.”

Jay Samit, Serial Disruptor“ONEm is disrupting the whole feature phone market. We have 3 billion people who are on mobile today but they never experience the wonders of the Internet.”

Harris Thajeb, CEO of Dentsu Indonesia“It’s something this country needs, that’s how I feel. It’s something I can give back. I think it’s going to help this country leap forward and I believe helping out SME’s is one way.”

Jacques Temgo, CEO of Afribaba“The partnership with ONEm is a big step towards my dream because millions of more people all across Africa will access the afribaba.com website in their country simply using SMS and without an internet connection. And I think ONEm is perfect for the problematic internet connection in most African countries.”

Marco Maass, Head of Global Partnerships from DW“The partnership with ONEm is a great opportunity for DW to increase our reach in key markets like Africa, where the Internet coverage is not as high as in other parts of the world. Working with ONEm and their technology will enable us to bring unbiased news and information to people without access to the Internet.”

Mohamadou Arabani Saibou, CEO of ESMT “ONEm solutions t with African needs. They help the African governments to create employment for young people and business for small enterprises. With this ecosystem, the money made will stay in Africa.”

Adnan Iskandar, Secretary General of Indonesian Advertising Agency Association“I’m sure that this is the new platform that Indonesian business owners need to have, the potential is really huge.”

INTRODUCING mCoin

mCoin will be widely adopted as it is based on a scalable platform, which can be acquired by traditional mining as well as rewarded through membership to partner mobile network operators.

In addition to traditional mining, members of the ONEm ecosystem who do not have access to the internet will have the opportunity to earn mCoins. “Pseudo mining” is our way for people to earn coins through participating in the ONEm ecosystem with activities which create social and economical impact. For example, initiatives will include harvesting languages through the use of crowdsourcing information.

Diering from all other cryptocurrencies, mCoin can reach billions of people with any ordinary mobile, to participate in the ecosystem for social and economic benets.

Digital cryptocurrency is accessible without the internet, made possible by the ONEm platform, which utilises traditional mobile infrastructure and the latest technology to provide a scalable solution.

mCoin aims to make it possible for people to receive and be rewarded with points which they can exchange for mCoins to trade, along with providing a way for the 3 billion individuals worldwide, without access to the internet, a way to participate in the digital revolution.

// 15 //

BUSINESS MODELONEm has developed a global platform with capabilities to deliver communications and internet-like services to any mobile phone without the internet. Its technology employs the latest internet and communication innovations to create services that can be deployed through any mobile network’s SMS, voice and data channels.

The rise of blockchain applications, particularly cryptocurrencies based on distributed ledger design, are disrupting the current standard approach of centralised transaction management. These new services are empowering transacting individuals, while lowering cost at the same time. However, the benets from such a distributed peer-to-peer approach using blockchain innovations are still out of reach to the 3 billion people without internet access.

MarketONEm’s global platform is already connected to mobile networks in 13 countries, reaching over 283 million users. Although internet availability is improving in many of these countries, globally it stands at just over 50% of world population penetration in 2017. The majority of users in Africa, Asia and 40% in the Middle East, will still be using basic mobile devices and will be without access to the internet in the years to come.

ONEm is empowering businesses and users globally with services that deliver marketing tools for small businesses, news, information, education and entertainment content for any users in “connected” and “unconnected” markets. ONEm services include:

ACS - Advanced Communication Services • Group call and messaging (with in-line translation), radio & audio podcast, video call

ILS - Internet Like Services • News, information, educational, agricultural and leisure content from the internet

Sweb - Marketing & CRM services for SMEs • Management & information system for SMEs with built-in customer management tool

// 16 //

BUSINESS MODELProblem to SolveInternet roll out in developing economies is slower than expected and mass adoption of the ONEm services takes time and signicant marketing resources.

SolutionThere is high awareness of cryptocurrency in unconnected markets1 but only few with internet access in those markets beneted from trading the coins and tokens.

One of the challenges for new cryptocurrencies is to ensure there are enough users adopting the new coin and using it to create demand.

The ONEm solution is to adopt mCoin into the ONEm services and ecosystem for the 3 billion people who are unconnected to the internet. The high “crypto” awareness creates the marketing pull from mobile operators towards ONEm services. The incentive of acquiring mCoins will accelerate the adoption of ONEm services by small businesses and consumers, which in turn creates impetus and use of mCoins. The higher the mCoin usage within the ONEm ecosystem, the higher the value it will become in the open market.

When businesses and users use ONEm services to promote their businesses or manage their daily lives, both the users and local economies ourish from access to these advanced communications, content and marketing services. They are rewarded with ONEm points for their contributions to local economic development. ONEm points can be exchanged for mCoins and this association eectively makes businesses and users of ONEm services, mCoin miners. In ONEm, this is called pseudo mining.

Where local market regulation allows, mCoin can be used as currency in the ONEm marketplace for buying and selling commerce transactions as well as peer to peer payment between ONEm users.

TECHNICAL SOLUTIONThe technical solution comprises two core elements

1) mCoin seed nodes 2) The ONEm platform

mCoin Seed NodesThe seed nodes run the Bitcoin protocol and hold all blocks and transactions in the network. The seed node exposes all of the core bitcoin protocol features (core node, wallet, mining and network routing).

As the network grows over time, more nodes are expected to be added by the community.mCoin is a fork of the Litecoin project using the Scrypt hashing algorithm. Scrypt was chosen as it is more protable to mine than SHA-256-based currencies (like Bitcoin) without compromising on security.

The table below gives a summary of the main characteristics of mCoin, Litecoin and Bitcoin.

TECHNICAL SOLUTIONONEm PlatformThe ONEm platform connects to mobile operator networks at their network boundary. It runs in a private-cloud and communicates with the operator networks using standard protocols HTTP for Web, SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) for voice and SMPP (Short Message Peer-to-Peer Protocol) for SMS.The platform is highly secure and scalable, ready support many millions of daily active users. The platform already provides highly interactive services using an innovative system of SMS-based menus and “multi-modal” interfaces using Web, Voice and SMS.

The platform has been designed to support the needs of both “connected” and “unconnected” users. Users have a variety of options to interact with the platform depending on the type of device they wish to use and whether they are “online” or “oine”:

• Intelligent “hybrid” Smartphone app using a “fallback mechanism” to use SMS as a background communication channel to connect with the ONEm platform when mobile data is not available

• Desktop/Mobile web interface

• Regular “GSM” Voice (circuit switched)

• SIP-based Voice (packet voice)

• SMS native messaging

Wallet SupportThe ONEm solution provides a number of options for users to access their mCoins and send/receive payments. Other methods are expected to be added in the near future

• Hybrid smartphone wallet support

• Web-based wallet

• Voice-based wallet using biometric authentication

The purchase of mCoins in pre-ICO sale and ICO presents a high degree of risk. It is recommended that the purchaser conduct his/her due diligence with all information relating to ONEm, ONEm services and ecosystem, the business model and mCoin technology for the unconnected markets. Purchasers also need to examine carefully the risks listed below. If any of the following risks materialised without resolution, then the Purchaser’s mCoin may be materially and adversely aected, including the possibility of the Purchaser’s mCoins being rendered worthless or unuseable.

Risk relating to Local regulatoryThere is a risk that mCoin might be considered a security now or in the future in some countries. ONEm do not provide any warranty or guarantee on the legality of mCoins purchased by the Purchaser in his/her country. Purchasers are responsible for establishing if their mCoin purchase is compliant with applicable law in their country and to stop using or possessing mCoins if it is not the case.

There is also no stable regulatory framework for cryptocurrency, digital assets and blockchain technology, creating uncertainty in most countries. It is plausible that some jurisdictions may introduce laws and regulations which may adversely aect the right to acquire, own, trade, exchange or use mCoins.

This is a risk for the whole cryptocurrency projects, not just for ONEm. ONEm will actively participate and contribute to lobbying cryptocurrency communities to inuence the establishment of a exible regulatory framework that benets all cryptocurrency stakeholders.

Risk relating to the ONEm platformONEm platform development and associated ACS, ILS, Sweb and Hybrid app development may be stopped for reasons of lack of interest from the markets, particularly the local mobile operators, or lack of funding, or lack of commercial success and last but not least, departure of key personnel.

ONEm has developed collaborative relationships with mobile operators and regulators in targeted markets in the last 2 years. Our experience will help us enter new markets. Given the right mix of marketing support from the operators and resources from ONEm, it has been proven that market demand for ONEm services is strong and sustainable. ONEm practices an active successor programme covering all key personnel to eliminate any business continuity risk resulting from departure of key personnel.

Risk relating to the reliance of third partiesThe ONEm platform relies on third parties for hosting and support, there is no full guarantee that the third parties will carry out their obligations without failure and without adversely aecting the ONEm platform and services.

THE RISKSIn addition to establishing stringent Service Level agreement with third parties, there is also built-in redundancy in the architecture design to avoid a single point of failure.

Risk relating to mCoin blockchainThere is a risk that the ONEm platform failed to adopt changes necessary for the introduction of mCoin and its use cases utilising a blockchain based on a fork of the Litecoin project.

Feasibility assessment is very positive with no obvious show-stopping technical issues identied for the creation of the genesis block and design of the mCoin wallet.

Risk relating to theft and hackingHackers may be tempted to compromise the Purchaser’s mCoin wallet whether it is on the ONEm platform or on the internet. The attack may include but is not limited to denial of service attacks, sybil attacks, spoong, smurng, malware attacks or consensus based attacks. Any such attacks may result in the theft of the Purchaser’s mCoins.

ONEm will make every eort to ensure that the mCoins held in an escrow wallet are secure, with multiple private keys held by reputable and trusted parties.
