The engineers and producers in Nashville, Tennessee are among the best in the world. They also recognize the im-

portance of honoring the pioneers who were instrumental in the development and ultimate success of Music Row

    and the Nashville recording community.

    About Tom Pick:

For years, Tom K. Pick has been and continues to be one of the most successful Engineers in the music business.

After training at DeVry Technical Institute in Chicago, he went to Boulevard Studios and then to RCA (Chicago),

where he remained for several years, prior to being transferred to RCA‟s Nashville studio.

It was due to his keen ear, steady hand, watchful eye and creative mind that Chet Atkins brought Pick to Nashville.

He was RCA‟s Chief Engineer for over fifteen years.

In 1977, as the studio at RCA was being closed, Porter Wagoner hired Pick to manage his new Fireside Studios. Un-

der Pick‟s direction and in cooperation with many of the industry‟s greatest artists and producers, Fireside became

legendary for the many innovative, hit recordings that were being done there. Sadly, Fireside has been destroyed.

Porter sold the studio in 1982 and Dave Burgess brought Pick to Merit Music where Tom built Merit Recording Stu-

dio. As Studio Manager and Chief Engineer, he engineered several number one sessions and produced several top

European hits, opening the door for many new artists and talents heard today.

Belden Enterprises owner, Penny Belden, hired Pick as Studio Manager when she assumed

ownership in the late 90‟s. Sadly, Merit Studio has also been destroyed.

The list of successful artists with whom Tom Pick has worked could fill a Who‟s Who

book. They include many country artists who have reached number one on the Billboard

Chart, and he is a Grammy winner - having won eight as of 2012.

Tom has numerous gold and platinum records to his credit, as well as many official

Grammy winning award “paper notifications” over the years, presented to him prior to an

actual Grammy being awarded to a producer/engineer.

One of Country music’s finest, John Anderson, will release his new album,

Goldmine, on May 26. Released on his own record label, Bayou Boys Music, the

13-track collection of original material features authentic lyrics and Anderson‟s

signature sound. The award-winning and hall of fame songwriter wrote or co-

    wrote 12 of the album‟s 13 tracks.

Goldmine is an album that was cut with the artist in complete control. Anderson

produced the record with long-time friend and producer Joe Spivey.

“With Goldmine, I thought, first off, I‟m going to take my songs into the studio

and make a record like I think it ought to be made, without all those other influ-

ences,” Anderson says, “I‟m more pleased with the sound of this record than I

have been in a long time.”

The first single, “I Work a Lot Better” will be shipped to radio on May 11 and

will be available for download on iTunes, Amazon and other major digital retail-

ers. The rocking mid-tempo track is in the style of previous chart-topping hits,

such as “Money in the Bank.”

When asked about the single, Anderson stated, “It was actually Josh Turner's idea. He is a fine young man, a great

talent and a real asset to modern day country music. Josh and I have written several songs together and it‟s always a

    pleasure to write with him”.

Raised in Apopka, Fla., John Anderson grew up listening to both rock and traditional country. In the end, Anderson

resisted the call of rock „n roll and chose to pursue his country music dreams, and is recognized as one of the great-

est country singers to ever step up to the microphone and possesses one of the most instantly identifiable vocal in-

struments in the history of the genre.

In 1977, Anderson signed with Warner Brothers Records and had his first major hit

in 1980 with Billy Joe Shaver‟s, “I‟m Just an Old Chunk of Coal (But I‟m Gonna

Be a Diamond Someday).” Other hits include the classic “Wild and Blue” released

in 1982, and “Swingin,” the No. 1 Billboard Country single co-written with Lionel

Delmore that would lead Anderson to garner the CMA Horizon Award.

Throughout his career, Anderson has produced 23 albums and released more than

60 singles (26 of which charted in the Top 10). He was inducted into the Nashville

Songwriters Hall of Fame on October 5, 2014, and holds a wealth of industry

awards including Academy of Country Music Career Achievement Award.

When asked about his upcoming album Goldmine, Anderson remarked, “I'm really

proud of this album. At this point, it‟s just for me and the fans. A best case scenario

for me is if the fans that have loved our music and supported us for so many years

know Goldmine is out there, and how to get it, I‟ll be happy.”

On July 25, John Anderson will join Keith Urban for a performance at Cheyenne Frontier Days in Cheyenne, WY.

John Anderson is currently touring throughout the United States, for upcoming tour dates you can visit his website.

Country music sensation Ronnie McDowell is a true artist in every sense of

the word. He‟s known coast to coast for his chart-topping radio hits and show-

manship from his sold-out performances and now he is being recognized for

his original art work. Disney Fine Art saw one painting by McDowell and

signed him to a 5-year deal.

McDowell‟s fascination with Disney occurred at an early age. He and his fam-

ily would gather around to watch Davey Crockett and the wonderful world of

color every Sunday night. Even back then he couldn‟t help but take note and

appreciate all of the beautiful colors he saw in classics like Pinocchio, Lady

and the Tramp and 101 Dalmatians.

What a dream it must be for McDowell, who is currently on his 14th painting,

to have his artwork to soon be recognized in Disney parks and galleries all over

the world. “All of my kids are involved in this project,” says Ronnie, “My

youngest daughter Athena told me I should do some paintings featuring Disney characters, so my youngest son Ty-

ler and I came up with the idea of Walt leaving Kansas City making his way to California from Union Station at 8

o‟clock with Mickey in front of him.” Ronnie Dean, my oldest son along with being my drummer and tour manager

for 20 years now, gave me the idea for Elvis teaching Mickey how to dance on the Ed Sullivan Show.” These paint-

ings showed Disney Fine Art what McDowell was capable of.

Disney Fine Art is available in art galleries throughout Europe, Japan and North America as well as Disney Cruise

Line and Disney Theme Parks around the world.

    About Ronnie McDowell:

Ronnie McDowell is highly respected by his peers and loved by his fans. Radio favorites and chart topper‟s such as

“Older Women” and “You‟re Gonna Ruin My Bad Reputation,” along with “Watchin‟ Girls Go By,” “All Tied Up”

and “In A New York Minute” laid the foundation to an impressive career spanning more than forty years.
