Living and loving the Tweed

All dogs in New South Wales must be on a leash when in a public place

unless in a designated off-leash area.

Council has developed a handy new online mapping tool which shows leash free areas, zones where dogs are required to be on a lead and areas where dogs are prohibited. While these zones have been in place for some time, this new tool highlights the location of the zones and the points where they start and finish.

To view the online mapping tool, visit www.tweed.nsw.gov.au/WalkMyDog

Providing designated off-leash, on-leash and dog prohibited areas is part of Tweed Shire Council’s commitment to protect and enhance the Tweed’s internationally significant environment.
