How did Bothell come to be? Populated by the Sammammish Tribe until

1870’s 1870 Colombus Greeleaf and George

Wilson built homes, followed by 8 families in next 6 years

1876 George Brackett (Canadian) built logging camp Now Brackett’s Landing

1885 Sold 80 acres to David Bothell (Pennsylvanian) First postmaster (Gerhard Erickson) bought

property in 1888 and named town
