easier to use.

· Liquid - these are typically attached to your hose and are a concentrated formula that you spread on your lawn and

it generally works immediately. Liquid fertilizers are the easiest to use and less likely to burn your lawn. However,

· Synthetic - these are chemically manufactured for immediate release and greening effect. They are also fast acting, penetrate the soil and have a quick response. The drawbacks are that they don't last very long and you can

very easily burn your lawn.

· Organic - these are made from once living organisms and/or their by-products. These are generally applied with

a spreader, shovel or by hand. They are slow to break down and slow to release nitrogen. Organic fertilizers are also known for improving the texture and surface of your

lawn. The drawbacks are that they are sometimes unpredictable and they tend to smell bad. The best time to

apply these are during the warm, moist seasons.
