When In Room 10Week of: September 8
Third Grade Lower Pottsgrove ElementaryA Look at Next Week: September 8th
LA/Writing: This week, we will be establishing routines in our classroom for our Language Arts block. We will begin working on building our stamina in reading. Our goal is 20 minutes by the end of the month!
Math: We will begin Unit 1 this week in Math. Keep an eye out for a Homelinks assignment that reinforces what we learned in class.
Social Studies: We will learn about Heroes in our first unit. Science will be taught during Trimester 2.
Other: OnThursday, students will be completing a puzzle piece with pictures and words that represent them. OPTIONAL: If you have old magazines you would like to bring in, feel free. Students will be able to cut out pictures and words to add to their puzzle piece.
Reminders:
•Be sure to log onto the parent portal to update your child’s emergency contact information and complete the first day packet. If you would like a paper copy of the first day packet, let me know or contact the main office
and we will happily send it home.•To adapt to our daily routines, please be sure to check your child’s
ANCHOR binder and EVERY night. You will need to sign their behavior calendar (FRIDAY), reading log, and review the assignments/messages in
their binders.•Students may bring in a healthy snack each day.
•Thank you for your patience, flexibility, and assistance in transitioning your children back to school this week. I look forward to meeting you at back to
