After the operation,the doctor came into the room and told me
how Katie died.Katie's been gone 11 years now and Iremember after
she died everyone was right there offering to help the writer.
The writer 's oldest daughter,starting to get scary. The writer
feels angry,letting down by Katie.
Anger is very common following the death of a child.
The writter cannot imagine the life without her child.
No matter how old your child is when they die,the pain of
loosing your child is still the same.

The writer's daughter Katie Lindsey Rose,died July 1992. She was
just five weeks old. Many people find it easier to
talk about the death of your mom, dad, your wife or husband than
their child. But, this is often a time that you do want to
talk or share feelings. It is important to talk about the
death,what you are feeling and it is okay to cry. After the
operation,the doctor came into the room and told me how Katie
died.Katie's been gone 11 years now. I remember just
after she died everyone was right there offering to help the
writer. The writer 's oldest daughter,starting to get scary

the writer will never see Katie get married or have children.
The writer feels angry,like let down by Katie. Anger is very
common following the death of a child. The writter cannot
imagine the life without her child.Please know that you are
neveralone,its okay to say hurt,to say Im scared, to say I need
a friend.No matter how old your child is when they die,thepain of
loosingyour child is still the same. Katie had suffered from
congenital heart disease. As a conclusion, Katies'story
is just one of a million parents' stories out there.

The challenge of bringing him up has rescued her form the hell
of loneliness kept her sane.
The main ideas
Emma Donoghue's "Room"has the makings of an unbearably tense
thriller. The surpise is how much more than that itis gripping but
also affecting and,believe it o not,sweet.
Donoghue's inspiration is the terrible case of Elisabeth
Fritzl,the Austrian woman who finally escaped from herdungeon in
2008 after being imprisoned by her father for 24 years and bearing
him seven children.
For Jack's mother,Room,(as Jack calls it) is a nigtmare without
end.
Keeping Jack happy and curious under these conditions is his
mother's mission.

The reason behind her decision to join the board at the Door so
that she can be part of small team of people opening a high
schoolfor homeless teenagers.

The main ideas
The writer's father had been estranged from our family for a
while and the writer's mother had recently died from
complicationsrelated to AIDS, and she's d spent the few months
since her death sleeping in friend's house or staircase.
To deal with the isolation, the writer escaped into
daydream.
Her life today bears no resemblance at all to her life then.She
graduated from Harvard University.
"Freedom from want"was never my goal.She had lost her family and
was carrying around nothing.
There was the alternative high school that was my one yes in the
world filled with no.There was also the haven for homelessteenagers
called the Door.
The New York Times told her story after two years.
In the following week,dozens of strangers reached out to me from
all across the United States.
