Thank you for all the donations we have received for the Wheat-
field’s suitcase to Ghana. The case is bursting at the seams and
the selection of pens, pencils, rubbers, books etc. are fantastic
and will be very much appreciated by the children in Ghana. We
will be getting these sent off this month.

Timms, alongside the coffee morning.
Lots of information to help support
your children’s learning and see the
website. Numbers Workshop next! It
would be great to see you there.
Thames Valley Police Visit It was great to see Goldsworthy Class dressing up as a Police Of-ficer and sitting in the Police car, sounding the siren!
Kandinsky Class In science the children have been looking at the weather and nature. On a walk around the grounds they were shocked to see a deer run past just in the next field—yes, a deer! The children recorded all the things they found on their nature walk.

Heath driving the Police car!
Goldsworthy Class enjoying having a picnic with their teddies.

Teddy Bears Picnic! To end their topic on Wonderful Marvellous Me, Goldsworthy Class had a Teddy Bears Picnic. The weather was perfect for sit-ting outside.
Update from Jon Chaloner, CEO of GLF Schools
We are delighted to inform you that The Beacon School, in Banstead, joined our Trust on 1 September, followed closely by Meridian High School, in Croydon, on 1st October. We are also looking forward to
de Stafford School, in Caterham, joining on 1 December. This is an exciting time for our group as we
will comprise 4 secondary school and 17 primary schools by the end of the year and this provides us
with countless opportunities to share best practice, always with the aim of enhancing the learning expe-
riences for our children and students within our schools.
I have been out and about visiting our schools since the start of the year and I have more visits planned
this half term. It is one of the most enjoyable aspects of my role to see our schools in action and to see
how proud the children, students and teachers are of their schools. The enthusiasm with which they
show off their work and school environments is heartening.
I was delighted to join the staff and children at Marden Lodge Primary School on 26 September to cele-
brate the results of their ‘Good’ Ofsted inspection last term; the first time the school has achieved such
an outcome for 21 years.
All of our schools are holding Open Mornings and Evenings this term. This is a wonderful opportunity for the children and staff to show prospective families how proud they are of their schools.
A high value is placed on engagement with parents and their families across GLFSchools. I would like to
thank you all for your support of your child’s school and GLFSchools as a whole over this half term.
Best wishes
Jon
Year 2 Assembly Last half term O’Keeffe’s Class topic was Mess, Muck and Mixtures. They learned all about col-our, pattern and mix-tures. The children talked about their favourite colours.
