Gain an insight with the Historic Scotland conservation and maintenance team into the history, significance and conservation of a 13th century cathedral and its setting. The event will provide the opportunity to see on-going masonry consolidation of a section of the un-roofed nave. Structural considerations and technical assess-ments for the conservation of masonry will be discussed, and delegates can opt to access the scaffold to see close-to specialist conservation of masonry including new carved sections and wallhead treatment.
