Testimonials

One of the first signs of content marketing was found around 4200 B.C. in a cave painting. Scientists loosely interpreted the depiction as "6 ways a spear can save you from wild boar."

Interesting Information: Good, Bad & Ugly Content Good Content Good content is created with good intentions that answers questions or solves problems of your target audience. This type of content evokes emotion and will let the target audience know how to find more information. Examples of good content include press releases, informative articles and how to guides. Bad Content Bad content is created with good intentions, but with inaccurate information. Companies want to put content out on Facebook or on their website and will copy and paste from other sources to simply fill the void. This is considered bad content because not only is the company committing plagiarism but the information could be wrong or outdated. Another form of bad content is creating offensive content such as vulgar language on social media platforms.

Ugly Content Ugly content is created with malicious intentions. An example of this would be a graphic that depicted a large airplane crashing into a bridge in the United States. Although fake, this image was shared through email with a virus attached to it. Users were shocked by this image and were compelled to share, causing the virus to spread quickly.

Monthly Tip: Creating Contagious Content Any contagious content will create immense emotion and have a call to action. People should be able to look at your content, read your content, experience it and want to go tell as many other people as they can. Identify To start writing good content, identify the pain points of your target audience. Try to figure out the problems they want to solve and help them to the answer.

Questions & Answers What questions do your clients go through during the buying process? Everyone has a process when they purchase something. Great content would answer these questions before your potential clients can ask them.

Map Mapping your content will come from the planning process, where you figured out what questions and answers your potential clients have. Once you know the questions, use your existing content to match to these questions. Identify (Again) After you have finished matching your existing content to the questions your audience has, you have to identify gaps in your content. This is where you will pull ideas to create and distribute new content for your company.
