What's Happening This Week School Diary Greetings Tomorrow we farewell Ms Singleton who has decided that she is unable to return to work for health reasons. This will begin at 2.15 with the Kapahaka Group honouring Helen with a performance. We will then enter the Creative Space where Room 4 will lead a normal assembly. This will be followed by formal farewell to Helen. Please join us if you can. Congratulations to the Year 5 and 6 Cricket Team who won their game against Waimairi School on Tuesday. Earlier they had won against Hoon Hay School and were closely beaten by Paparoa Street. They have certainly represented the school well. The end of Year Mass is on Thursday December 15 in the church. This will be followed by the Prize Giving at a venue yet to be confirmed. There are still a number of children arriving at school prior to the requested 8.30. In fact we have had children here by 7.45. A reminder that we do not take responsibility for the children until the bell rings at 8.30. With today being December 1 the first day of summer it certainly makes us realise how close the end of the year is. A Message from the DRS

What is an Act of Contrition? This is a prayer said that demonstrates the person’s heartfelt sorrow for turning away from God, for the sins committed... along with the intention of doing all that can be done to sin no more. A simple Act of Contrition might be, “Oh my God, I am sorry that I have offended you, because you are so good. With your help I will try not to sin again, Amen.”

Prayer Packs

This week’s Prayer Packs go to Porsche, Francesca and Adrian. Please can we bring these back on a Friday for the following week.

Some children are still arriving at school far too early

(some before 8:00am). We do not take responsibility for the children until 8:30am except

the bus children who arrive a little earlier. They are not

allowed to enter the buildings until 8:30am. Please consider the staff and the safety of

your children by not sending your child to school

unaccompanied prior to 8:30am.

On Friday 2nd December we are having an International Food

Day celebration. Every child should bring a small plate of food , from their culture, to share. Please bring food that

can be eaten with fingers only, not a spoon or

fork, and that doesn’t need to be heated.

Food is to be taken to the BJC before school.

Children are to bring a lunchbox to put food in at

lunchtime.
