The STANDARD for Cat machine control means lower effort and more precision for the operator. Standard electro-hydraulic controls available in both ISO and hand and foot configurations deliver just that. Optional advanced features such as return to dig, work tool positioner, and adjustable implement and drive response allow the operator to customize the machine in order to meet their unique needs. The competition’s standard mechanical hand and foot or optional pilot controls for $2395 are mechanically actuated and therefore cannot be tuned to match application requirements or operator preferences.

The STANDARD for worksite visibility means increased viewable area around the machine. A wide, frameless front door delivers exceptional view of the entire work tool and the standard convex rearview mirror give the operator a panoramic view of the jobsite. The sleek lift arm design provides a narrow profile that delivers excellent sight lines to the wheels and the surrounding work area. An optional integrated rear view camera further enhances the rearward field of vision for increased worksite visibility. The competition’s bulky lift arm design obstructs visibility to the rear quarters of the machine, tracks and the work tool (bucket corners). The rear view mirror is not standard on every model and there is no option for a rear view camera.

The STANDARD modular one-piece sealed and pressurized cab delivers a clean, quiet working environment. The competition’s less effective sealing design includes an overhead door and two piece cab that relies on foam seals to join the two sections. Maximum comfort is achieved with available High Back, Heated Air Suspension Seat with Lumbar and arm bar adjustments. The competitor’s optional Air Suspension Seat does not include Heat, Lumbar Support, or adjustable arm bars.

This helps keep your machine running at optimal efficiency, reducing down time and increasing productivity. The competition’s skid steers require lifting of the cab to access the hydraulic return oil filter, contains a hydraulic tank that is half the size, and require a tool in order to top off hydraulic fluid.

The cooling system on Cat Skid Steers come STANDARD with side by side coolers and a hydraulic demand fan with optional reversing capabilities. The airflow from the machine exits above the machine away from the work environment. Cat skid steer cooling pack cleanout is quick and easy and requires no removal of components. The competition’s cooling system contains stacked coolers, with the addition of a fuel cooler, which can potentially trap debris, restrict airflow, and make cleaning more difficult. The competition’s cooling pack airflow exits the machine at ground level and can create disturbances for people, animals, and other objects within the work area. Additionally, two panels must be removed in order to effectively clean out the cooling pack.
