With 2019 ending soon, it is time we took stock on how we have achieved vis-à-vis the targets and expectations stated in the MPB. Of course, with the dynamic challeng- ing global economic scenario, Malaysia will always have to be versatile and adjust accordingly so that we do not lose steam on our economic develop- ment – that must now be sustainable, and ensure every Malaysian enjoys a standard of living that befits a 62 years old nation. As for productivity mat- ters, we have the targets set out for us to achieve as depicted in the dia- gram above. We are also guided by five national productivity thrusts; name- ly, talent, technology, industry structure, business environment and produc- tivity mindset (as per the diagram on back page). DRIVING PRODUCTIVITY OF THE NATION

From the Editor’s Desk There have been more than 30 months since the Government launched the

Malaysian Productivity Blueprint (MPB) on 8 May 2017. With 2019 ending

soon, it is time we took stock on how we have achieved vis-à-vis the targets

and expectations stated in the MPB. Of course, with the dynamic challeng-

ing global economic scenario, Malaysia will always have to be versatile and

adjust accordingly so that we do not lose steam on our economic develop-

ment – that must now be sustainable, and ensure every Malaysian enjoys a

standard of living that befits a 62 years old nation. As for productivity mat-

ters, we have the targets set out for us to achieve as depicted in the dia-

gram above. We are also guided by five national productivity thrusts; name-

ly, talent, technology, industry structure, business environment and produc-

tivity mindset (as per the diagram on back page). The two diagrams provide

us with much food for introspection and retrospection! Till the next issue,

happy referencing.
