Rock with the KingStones band at Story time! Join the Endeavour Foundation’s band KingStones, a high energy group of young people with an intellectual disability or other condition. Their goal is to spread a message of hope and joy around the world. Move and sing along to some children’s classics and original music. Sensory for children

Sensory Space

A place for all children to explore and play at Marsden Library. Learn through technology, touch, sight, sound and movement.

The space features play-based equipment including a bubble tube, touch screen, tablets and wall toys. Kits for families and groups to use with children are available including: social and emotions; tactile; fine coordination; auditory and visual.

After Sensory Story time we have a featured hands-on session using targeted resources from our Sensory Space to help children develop abilities. Parents/carers are required to assist.

Come along and paint a caterpillar and other objects we have created on the 3D printer. Please wear old clothes. For ages eight to 12.

Nyeumba-Meta is a space and collection at Logan Central Library that aims to foster respect for Australian Indigenous cultures. 20 Mawarra Street, Kingston

Step back in time and visit historic Mayes Cottage, a reminder of Queensland's pioneering age. The cottage was built in 1887 and is virtually unchanged. Enjoy the calm and relaxing atmosphere with a picnic or share a yarn on the veranda with our friendly voluntary guides.

How to start bee keeping

Find out what you need to know to start keeping honey bees in the back yard. Roman Spur will share his beekeeping knowledge and tell how he harvested 160 kg of honey from one hive in a year.
