What’s Next?: Extended Academic Orientation Program

(EAOP)

What Is It? Extended AOP is a series of events held during

the fall semester that will help support your academic success.

Why Extended AOP? Students told us they wanted their orientation to

continue during the school year

These events will help you connect with other students, professors, advisors, and different campus resources

Why Extended AOP? • Extended AOP is a great method to let people know

not only more about America, but also America

culture…Extended AOP helps them to know better

about how to be a college student in Michigan, or

how to survive in an English speaking country.”

Why Extended AOP? • “I realized that Michigan State University has a lot of

nice people. Everyone there was so nice and willing

to help…I became more happy now because of all the

happy people I meet here at MSU.”

Requirements • You must attend 3 campus events that are on our

registration website

o One of these events will be the NSSC Seminar

• You must get a Professor or Teacher Assistant signature

Before the Event

• Register for the event online o Noncredit.msu.edu

• What is on this website?

o Registration, attendance, and events are on this website

• Print your Spartan Souvenir o D2l.msu.edu

• What is on this website?

o Spartan Souvenir, Incoming Student Tips, Events Calendar (not registration)

How to Register on the EAOP Website

• Go to noncredit.msu.edu

• Click “Create Account”

• Click Option 2

• Log in with your MSU Net ID and password (the same as your email)

• Click “Individual Registration”

Spartan Souvenir

• You MUST bring this to every event

• To get credit for attending an event, you must get an AOP stamp in your Spartan Souvenir

Inside your Spartan Souvenir

At the Event Look for the Extended AOP

check-out sign.

There will be AOP employees there to check you out.

Give them your Spartan ID Card.

They will check you out and stamp your Spartan Souvenir.

At the Event Check out is very important!

If you do not check out, the event will not count for your Extended AOP requirement!

We cannot stamp your Spartan Souvenir once you leave the event.

Spartan Souvenir

• After the event you must write the name of the event and a description of the event

If you lose your Spartan Souvenir

• You can print a new one at:

IMPORTANT • If you lose your Spartan Souvenir, you can

contact aop@msu.edu

• We can try to replace your stamps if we have record of your attendance

• But we can not guarantee that stamps can be replaced

• So, DO NOT LOSE YOUR SPARTAN SOUVENIR

Turn in Your Spartan Souvenir Take your completed Spartan Souvenir to Room 250

Hannah Administration Building on Mondays or Fridays from 9AM-5PM

We will have “drop- off” hours around campus in November where you can turn in your Spartan Souvenir

Deadline: NOVEMBER 18th

THIS IS REQUIRED If you do not complete the

Spartan Souvenir by the deadline your classes for

Spring 2017 will be

NO ENROLLMENT = NO CLASSES =

NO LEGAL IMMIGRATION STATUS
