TIBCO Nimbus – What’s New in 9.3
Process Mapping Map Process Variants Create multiple drill downs to support process variants, such as process variations based
on region or user group.
Create, delete and reorder variants in the Manage Variants window. Authors can also
create new maps or packaged maps from any process variant.
Easily identify standard and variant diagrams in the Diagram report.
TIBCO Nimbus – What’s New in 9.3
Collaboration and Management Share Content with Colleagues Easily share storyboards, documents and processes with colleagues through email or
social network/instant messaging links.
Assign Dynamic Users as Authorizers and Action Users Assign dynamic users, including owners, authors and primary contacts, as authorizers and
action users.
Customize Change Requests Change requests can be customized by adding additional information fields through the
association of a data table definition.
TIBCO Nimbus – What’s New in 9.3
Data Tables Improved Security on Data Tables The security of data table definitions has been improved to prevent unauthorized editing
and deletion.
Two data table roles are now available for authors:
Data Tables Administrator allows authors to
create data table definitions and edit any
data table definitions in the repository
(irrespective of access rights).
Data Tables Manager allows authors to
create data table definitions and edit only
data definitions that they have write access
on.
Separate access rights can now be assigned to data
table definitions and data table attachment updates.
This ensures only the right people with the
appropriate access can make changes to the fields
in the data table.
Organize Data Tables in Folders Data table definitions can be organized in folders with folder access rights providing
further security.
TIBCO Nimbus – What’s New in 9.3
Storyboard Playback Behaviour Define storyboard playback behaviour for data table definitions. Either store static copies
to display activity metadata and controls, or retain live data table links to ensure users
can still add data table records on published storyboards.
Web Interface Restore User Group Favorites Users can restore any previously deleted user group favorites.
Choose Preferred Language Users can now choose their preferred language for viewing content in the web through
their User Profile.
TIBCO Nimbus – What’s New in 9.3
Access Statements in Storyboards Activity statement links are now accessible when viewing storyboards in text mode
in the web.
Action Management Schedule Actions across Scopes Create actions and recurring actions across scopes of diagrams, documents and
storyboards.
Action Settings Available in Action Registry To ensure all action settings are managed in one place, the action settings are now
accessible from the Action Registry.
TIBCO Nimbus – What’s New in 9.3
Advanced Action Categorization Save time when creating actions by prepopulating action data from default
values set in action categories.
Action categories can also be restricted to specific functionality.
Greater Flexibility for Scheduling Recurring Actions Recurring actions are now managed by the Batch Server. Recurring actions can be run daily, weekly,
monthly or on custom dates. This ensures full flexibility for setting up action patterns and introduces
support for custom calendars such as a company’s financial calendar or end of quarter actions
TIBCO Nimbus – What’s New in 9.3
Update Assignee Statuses in the Web Administrators, action owners and action managers can now change the status of assignees’ actions
in the web interface.
Storyboards New Storyboard Interface The new Storyboard Player web interface provides a more intuitive and seamless user experience.
Users can view the details of storyboards and accept or reject storyboards as part of the new
governance cycle for storyboards.
TIBCO Nimbus – What’s New in 9.3
Multiple Language Support Storyboard titles and commentary text now support multiple languages.
Storyboard Management There’s now greater control over the management of storyboards.
Authorizing Storyboards
Storyboards have their own authorization cycle to support draft and master content, bringing them
under the same governance as diagrams and documents. Storyboards can now be published to the
web as independent pieces of content that aren’t reliant on the underlying process diagram.
Additional Storyboard Scopes
Additional storyboard scopes now allow storyboard operations and reporting to be run against
storyboard folders and scope lists.
TIBCO Nimbus – What’s New in 9.3
Storyboard Primary Contacts
A primary email contact can be assigned to a storyboard; these users can be notified when draft
storyboards are unlocked for editing or when the integrity of a storyboard is broken.
An option allows the system to automatically notify the primary contact when the integrity of a
storyboard is broken.
Storyboard Integrity Protection To prevent storyboards from being broken, authors will be notified when attempting to delete
activities or drill downs that are referenced by one or more storyboards.
Storyboard icons appear on activities that are referenced in storyboards. A new control panel
indicator highlights if a diagram is referenced in storyboards.
TIBCO Nimbus – What’s New in 9.3
SharePoint Add Assignees when Creating Actions Users can now be assigned when creating actions in SharePoint.
Context Keyword Searching Keyword searching can now be conducted in SharePoint in the same way as in the standard web
interface. A system option can enforce exact text matching.
TIBCO Nimbus – What’s New in 9.3
Results are returned within the context of the relevant keyword in the new web part.
Reporting Greater Flexibility for Scheduling Reports Scheduled reports are now managed by the Batch Server and can be run daily, weekly, monthly or
even on custom dates.
TIBCO Nimbus – What’s New in 9.3
Administration Manage Subscription Settings for Users Notify subscribed users when feedback and replies are left for content. This can be set
across multiple users to ensure that these settings can be turned on for all relevant users.
Set Maximum Number of Available Archives Administrators can now set the maximum number of archives available to users for quick
access. This is useful where many archives are being created over a short period of time.
Disable File, Application and URL Attachments Enforce the use of the Document Registry and prevent authors from attaching local
documents that can’t be accessed by others by disabling the option to add file, application
and URL attachments.
Authorized Content Accessible to End Users Allow users to view authorized draft content before processes are launched and published to
master, such as during training periods.
Registry Administrators can Edit Recurring Document Reviews Document Registry administrators can now edit any recurring document review.
