Development of the PSENvip has
retained and logically expanded the
proven functionality of its successful
predecessor. Characteristics of the
PSENvip 2 include simple handling
and maximum productivity, combined
with high machine availability.
The PSENvip 2 does not need a device
display: all of the commissioning and
configuration work is carried out easily
and directly via a web interface on the
press brake control system.
As a result, the end user can make
all the settings centrally in one place.
As well as the compact design, the
PSENvip 2 is also flexible to install
and can be mounted to the right or
left of the press brake.
The evaluation device with proven
FAST functionality is now integrated
into the automation system PSS 4000.
This guarantees that the press brake
tool has the fastest shutdown time
and the shortest overrun distance.
The evaluation device also benefits
from the existing infrastructure of
the PSS 4000 environment, minimising
the wiring work.
Due to the robust mechanical
structure, innovative LED lighting
on the transmitter and coordinated
optics on the receiver, PSENvip 2
guarantees very high machine availa-
bility, thus increasing productivity.

The operating mode selector switch
PITmode provides two functions in
one compact unit: safe selection of
defined operating modes and access
authorisation for the machine. The
coded key gives every user the
machine enables that match his
abilities. Identification numbers are
used in the machine control to assign
authorisations, which control access.
As an option the operating mode
selector switch is also available with
pictograms for machine tools – ideal
for international use.

PNOZmulti 2 can be used as a
stand-alone or modular expandable
variant. As a new option, there are
two other communication modules
available for connection to Ethernet-
based systems. These now enable
the base unit to be extended to
the left and connected to either
PROFINET or Ethernet/IP networks.
You configure the virtual inputs and
outputs in the usual manner in the
software tool PNOZmulti Configurator.
Instead of wiring, you can simply
configure your safety circuit on a PC.
As an open, configurable control
system PNOZmulti 2 can therefore
be used flexibly and industry-wide,
independently of the higher-level
operational control.

Software
Web-based visualisation software paired with Pilz diagnostic functions, for connection to control systems from the automation system PSS 4000. Direct link between PAS4000 and PASvisu automation projects. The use of open web technologies provides device and platform-independent access via PC, tablet and smartphone with genuine Client/Server functionality.
The PAS4000 project is selected and linked to the PASvisu project in the PASvisu Builder. Benefits: • Error-free, as there are no manual entries: variable access to the namespace of the PAS4000 project
• Complete block diagnostics: all configured safety blocks can be selected directly in the PASvisu Builder
• Few downtimes thanks to remote access with genuine Client/Server functionality
