ADP Hyderabad branch was struck by cricket fever.A fun filled cricket tournament was held by theirCS&L department to promote healthy activities thatare also entertaining for the staff. A six over matchwas scheduled, with 8 players in each team. Targetset in the first innings of 75 runs could not be chased.
Bhangra music during the competition kept theatmosphere lively. Live BBQ that followed thematch gave the night a perfect ending!
WIBCONADP ladies as well as the entire Lead Team attended the 11th Women In Business &Leadership Conference (WIBCON) held at Pearl Continental, Karachi on Feb 13th 2019.The conference is organized annually by the Pakistan Society for Training andDevelopment (PSTD), a non-profit institution working for developing the capabilitiesof women in leadership roles in Pakistan.
AbuDawood, staying true to its values regarding encouraging and promoting womenin leadership positions, supports the vision behind WIBCON which serves to be alearning platform bringing together notable women leaders from Pakistan and acrossthe globe. Among this year’s speakers were: Sima Kamil - CEO UBL, JoAnne Wagner- American Consul-General, Danish Hashmi - Retail Products Head HBL, Jamal Nasir- HBL CHO, Sarah Awan - Vice Chairperson TCS Pakistan. The panelists spoke atlength about the importance of female participation in economic activity and howwomen can be empowered more to realize their full potential. Moving stories of theirexperiences were narrated. Pearls of wisdom were offered for the audience regardinghow to truly excel as a professional.
Moreover, many young women entrepreneurs, social and cultural activists as well assports professionals were invited to speak and share their journey to the top. All theseseemingly ordinary people who went on to achieve extra ordinary things, had onething in common – sheer determination to pursue their dreams despite failures everynow and then.
The conference ended with a creatively put-together theatrical performancecentered on a family drama showcasing a submissive home-maker in her mid-50sfinally garnering her inner strength to rise to her life-long dream of pursuing highereducation in another country. A powerful ending like this ensured that the audienceleft the hall brimming with positivity and confidence.
A refresher session on Shipment Operation (Trade,Sub D and Network Towns) was held on 25th
February at the Lahore Warehouse led by Wajid Ali(Warehouse Supervisor). The participants includedall the loaders where they were provided thenecessary guidelines and SOPs.
Participants were also told about the commonmistakes that can occur and how to avoid them,followed by a detailed discussion about the shipmentoperation.
The session was highly appreciated by all theloaders.
