SWACHCHATA DRIVE ORGANIZED

Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV) celebrated Father of Nation, Mahatma Gandhi’s 148th birth anniversary, with Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, RGPV Prof. Sunil Kumar;

Registrar RGPV, Prof. S.K. Jain; Director RGPV, Prof. R.S. Rajput and other senior faculty members, supporting staff and students of RGPV by paying visit to a village nearby and executing a Swatchchata Drive. Girl students especially interacted with village girls and women and highlighted the significance of personal hygeine and its effect on overall well being. Hon’ble Vice Chancellor also interacted with village children and discussed general possiblities for their bright future. Sensitisation for cleaniness among villagers was also highlighted by the team members. The team also remembered Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri, the second prime minister of the country as October 2 was also his 113th birth anniversary.

Visiting RGPV for the Solar Energy Workshop was a honour and eye-opener for me. Meeting and interacting with VC and Faculty and Students of RGPV was heart-warming to see how the students are being prepared for Cleaner and Greener tomorrow not just through class-room studies and in labs but with projects and work-shops.

I was very impressed with the vast, clean, green and good infrastructure of RGVP and getting to know of its Outreach to 400,000 students through its affiliated institutes points out the great potential it offers to reach out to young minds and in words of our Beloved President Dr Abdul

Kalam- Igniting minds. Visiting the Cross Linear Fresnel Solar Plant which has come up with support of Japanese Technology provider, Ministry for New and Renewable Energy and Industry Partner Bergen Industries showed that RGPV is also working on Research and Development and developing cutting-edge technologies that could become game-changer and make Solar and Sustainability more feasible and viable and main-stream. It would be my pleasure to work with RGPV VC, Faculty and Students to bring my 35+ years of experience indesign, manufacturing and installation of Solar Concentrator for thermal applications to make the system functional again so that students can use the same for hand-on learning at the same time system being used on regular basis to meet solar hot water and cooking needs of campus so that it becomes a live project not just for demonstration but for daily use and many more application engineering projects for future students be offered.

Wishing RGPV all the very best, I remain

With Sunny GreetingsSustainably yours

Deepak Gadhia
