WHAT IS EXCITING ABOUT THE MARA TRIPS?

The Maasai Mara ecosystem in Kenya and Tanzania is often referred to as the “Eighth Wonder of the World.” It is home to millions of animals that migrate through the savannah grasslands. The stunning Mara has captured the hearts of tourists from around the globe. However, due to changing climate and lifestyles and a rapidly growing population, the future of this incredible place and the livelihoods of the people who live there is uncertain.

Together with our sourcing partner, Fairoils, dōTERRA has a unique opportunity to help “save the Mara” and maintain the integrity of the northern-most point of the Maasai Mara ecosystem through Co-Impact Sourcing.

Leaders that are Diamond and above have the opportunity to form Wellness Advocate groups to experience the Mara firsthand and understand how dōTERRA’s Co-Impact Sourcing works to protect one of the world’s most precious natural wonders. dōTERRA has partnered with the “Enonkishu Conservancy,” an industry leading conservation organization, and their highly professional travel company to manage your logistics and provide you the best possible experience.

Enonkishu and the surrounding conservancies offer an incredible safari and cultural experience at a very cost effective rate. You’ll enjoy discounted conservation fees thanks to dōTERRA’s contributions to Enonkishu and the important projects we work on together.

Enonkishu Conservancy works tirelessly with surrounding conservancies, government leaders, and local communities to revitalize tired grasslands. dōTERRA and Fairoils have joined Enonkishu to continue this great work by donating 10% of oil proceeds developed in this partnership. Additionally, dōTERRA and Fairoils are setting up a Co-Impact Sourcing project with local communities to provide meaningful, alternative sources of income to smallholder farmers and pastoralists, and extensive training on conservation, human-wildlife conflict, and environmental sustainability practices.

EXPERIENCE AT THE MARA TRAINING CENTRE

Enonkishu Conservancy has created The Mara Training Centre as a place to bring community leaders from across the Mara ecosystem and the African continent to have conversations and trainings around wildlife conservation and rangeland management.

Wellness Advocates are able to stay at the Mara Training Centre, which has comfortable cabins and luxury safari tents that provide a rustic, but comfortable safari experience. Situated along the banks of the Mara River, the Mara Training Centre has a dining hall for group meals and a classroom for team training meetings or discussions.
