Prayer/Sleep The Prophet (pbuh) said, One should not sleep

about one hour before sunrise. The Prophet didnot sleep afterFajrprayer. In addition, theProphet (saw) told his companions that earlymorning work is blessed by Allh. and made

your sleep as a thing for rest. 78:9

hastened so a mother could attend a crying child!He addressed a gathering( angry) and said

prayers should be not long as there are the old, thesick and those who have matters to attendBreak Fast early,Commence late- eat till just

before Subah, and Breakfast Immediately afterSunrise.(we are asked not to delay in breaking fastand it is long before normal dinner time)Convey The Message- even if we knew only oneThe Lowest of Faith- is to remove obstacles in the

path( if problems may arise even in a communitytake action to avert)Character Very approachable, even by a child

Humble (eg: people were asked not to get up when

Nature's Obedience:Human Body: SLEEP: Islam emphasizes theimportance of getting enough sleep.Hadith

(SB) by the Prophet (pbuh) says, If anyone ofyou feels drowsy while praying he should go tobed (sleep) till his slumber is over (SB 210).The Prophet (pbuh) told one of his companions(Ibn Amr) who was praying the whole night

Once the Prophet (pbuh) entered the Mosque andsaw a rope hanging in between its two pillars. Hesaid, What is this rope? The people said, This

rope is for Zainab, who, when she feels tired,holds it (to keep standing for the prayer.) TheProphet (pbuh) said, Don't use it. Remove therope. pray as long as you feel active, and when

youget tired, sleep (SB 1099).

FOOD: Fasting- a very very early breakfast

and a very early dinner while skipping lunch.

TIME: The sun and the moon run on theirfixed courses (exactly) calculated withmeasured out stages for each (forreckoning, etc.). 55:5

FACTS: Humans eat 3 times a day, sleep in the

night after dinner, and active during the day

naturally.

Village Then- is a community of people , wherematerial and communication passes freely withrelative ease and almost within the daycompared to between two countries.

Global Village-almost instantaneous in most cases!

Prophet(saw) said we are a illiterate nation!...compute thus( )exertingr faculties for accuracy

Confusion among today's Ummah, even those in

same Street/ same Household!

Hardship in Fasting/Prayers in some countriesduring some periods!

Ignorance: Should they not have asked if theydidn't know! Verily the cure of all ignorance isto question! Abu dawood re. head injury &wudu caused death

May Allah give our Scholars Wisdom toUnderstand the terrible state we are in andA Solution for a Fundamental Understanding ofUnity to do Good Deeds. Ameen

The cure of all ignorance is to question!Is not the Global Village Now evenmore close than a Village then

Islam is for all time for all mankindHow can we unite on Prayer and Eid Times

Can we use celestial calculationfor accuracy and uniformity

Allah says:He did not make Religion Difficult

(How can we fast and pray withouthardship at all times, where the Biological

Clock is out of step with the Celestial Clock)

Oh Allah! remove disunity in our Practices,and bond our Hearts with Love and

Note from Above

We have to getup from sleep to pray Isha or it isvery very early.

We have to eat Sahar just after Dinner andBreakfast after normal dinner time or

breakfast at tea time!Cannot stay up after Subah as in Hadith to dogainful work.

Yet, every one on earth go to work almost atsame time, eat 3 meals and go to sleep.Subject to minor changes due to climate.

Thus our biological clock is more or lessconsistent throughout the world.

Let Us Unite

URGENT

Is there not a consensus among scholars, thatwhere sunrise/sunset are very abnormal times,that it is permissible to follow the closestcountry?Closest country in what way?

Should we not understand, it should be as closeas the timing in Holy Medina as during the timeof our Holy Prophet(pbuh). -sunrise ..a few hours before going towork(perhaps an hour before

children getup?) -sunset...1-2 hours before normal dinner timeWhen we take into account the biological clockin us; Insha Allah this may give an indication ofproper times of prayer and fasting in thesecountries. This will eliminate today's ridiculouspractice of breaking fast after their normal dinnertime just because the sun set is at 9.30 pm!!!!Additional Research perhaps will help us all unite

on the Islamic calendar too, Insha Allah.
