What the Bible Says about Mouths

Old Testament

Ordained strength comes from the mouth of babes Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of

thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger. Psalms 8:2

The righteous mouth speaks wisdom and talks about judgement

The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgement.

Psalms 37:30

When you speak of good things your youth is renewed

Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things so that thy youth is renewed like the

eagle's.Psalms 103:5

As Christians we should speak wisdom with our mouths because a froward

tongue will be cut out

The mouth of the just bringeth forth wisdom: but the froward tongue shall be cut out.

Prov. 10:31

The righteous know what is acceptable to say but the wicked speak of evil things

The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable: but the mouth of the wicked

speaketh frowardness.Prov. 10:32

Foolish people speak with pride and wise people are careful about what they say

In the mouth of the foolish is a rod of pride: but the lips of the wise shall preserve

them. Prov. 14:3

If we are faithful witnesses for the Lord tell the truth and unfaithful witnesses tell

lies

Where no oxen are, the crib is clean: but much increase is by the strength of the ox.

Prov. 14:4

A faithful witness will not lie: but a false witness will utter lies.Prov. 14:5

A fool's lips speak contention

A fool's lips enter into contention, and his mouth calleth for strokes.Prov. 18:6

A fool is destroyed by their own mouth

A fool's mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul. Prov. 18:7

Those who lie hurt themselves and others

The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down into the innermost partsof the belly. Prov. 18:8

New Testament

What Jesus said about the words that come out of your mouth.

Those who blasphemy against the Holy Ghost will not be forgiven

Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto

men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.

Matt.12:31

Those who speak against the Son of man can be forgiven but those who speak

against the Holy Ghost will not be forgiven not in this world nor in the world to

come

And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but

whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall no be forgiven him, neither in

this world, neither in the world to come. Matt. 12:32

Speaking good things and bad things determines what you produce

A tree is known by it's fruit, If you speak good things-good things will happen in your life andif you speak bad things-bad things will happen in your life

Either make the tree good, and his fruit good or else make the tree corrupt and his

fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit. Matt. 12:33

Those who are evil in their heart speak evil from their mouth's

O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things: for out of the

abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. Matt. 12:34

Those who are good in their heart speak good from their mouth's

A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an

evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. Matt. 12:35

You will be held accountable even for the idle words you speak when judgment

day comes

But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account

thereof in the day of judgment. Matt. 12:36

By your words you are either justified or condemned

For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

Matt. 12:37

Praise is perfected out of the mouth of babes and sucklings

And said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea

have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected

praise? Matt. 21:16

What Paul said about words that come out of your mouth

The word of faith that is in your heart is what should come out of your mouth.

But what saith it? Thy word is nigh thee, even in they mouth, and in thy heart:that is,

the word of faith, which we preach Rom. 10:8

Tell others about the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised him

from the dead and you will be saved.

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine

heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Rom. 10:9

When we believe onto righteousness (that Jesus died for our sins rose from the

dead) we confess our sins so we can acquire salvation

For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness and with the mouth confession

is made unto salvation.Rom. 10:10

Whoever believes shall not be ashamed

For the scripture saith Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. Rom.

10:11

The Lord is the same for all people

For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over allis rich unto all that call upon him. Rom. 11:12
