Download MSRDS
• Connect to Microsoft Robotics site
– http://www.microsoft.com/Robotics
• Click “Get Microsoft Robotics Developer Studio” icon

Before Installing MSRDS
• If your PC machine uses non-English language (especially in
Asian countries), please note below items
– If your computer includes special characters or your own
country’s language, please replace these characters into
English
– If your login account includes special characters or your own
country’s language, please replace these characters into
English
– Sometimes, these characters which are based on UNICODE
cause some problems in running simulation

Before Installing MSRDS
• If you didn’t install .NET Framework 3.5 yet, please install
this framework prior to install downloaded MSRDS
– It will take about 15 ~ 30 minutes in installing .NET Framework
3.5

Install MSRDS
• Execute “Microsoft Robotics Developer Studio 2008 R2
Express Edition (Offline installation).exe”

Check the result of installation
• If you finished installing of MSRDS successfully, you will see
below windows

Install SPLX Launcher Tool
• SPLX is a extension of package file
– You can pack your sample codes into a package file by using
“SPLXPackager.exe” and this will generate *.splx file
– You can deploy your stuff by packaging into a splx file
• To unpack these *.splx files, you have to install SPLX
launcher tool
• If you click *.splx file, SPL Launcher will unpack files and
launch target program (VPL diagram or SPL script)

supporting MSRDS
