PATIO KITS | Every paving stone has been specially selected for you in pre-determined pack sizes ranging from just under a square metre up to five square metres. This enables you to understand what size you need and adapt it to your needs. It also makes your purchase so much easier.

A | METHOD You can choose what method to lay your stones, long aspect paving can help to accentuate the space with the clean long lines.

B | COLOUR There is always some colour variation in all manufactured and natural stone products. This will be more obvious when selecting a natural stone.

C | WEATHERING Reconstituted stone weathers in a similar way to natural stone, the effect of the elements can cause some colour change. A natural stone product means that no two stones are the same and can result in a wonderfully random riot of colour bringing a unique look to your garden.

PAVING FEATURES | If you have room for a stone circle, square or octagon, they do come in set sizes so be sure that you have the room for them. The circles laid normally are 1.8m and 2.4m in diameter and the octagon is 2.5m. These sizes can be adapted to fit any size dependent on your personal taste.

DECORATIVE STONES |These are the little details that make a big difference. Our range of decorative stones, cobbles and pebbles includes colours and materials, which will complement all types of gardens and location.Decorative stones are an extremely cost-effective solution for large areas. It always looks attractive around the borders of paved areas and between paving stones.

LAYING | Most decorative stones should be laid to a depth of 50mm. You can either buy handy pre-packed bags with an approximate coverage of 0.4M2 or large non-returnable bulk bags with an approximate coverage of 16M2.

USAGE | Pebbles & cobbled areas are an ideal accompaniment to water features, they can also create added interest in large paved areas either by replacing randomly selected paving stones or providing a decorative border. Decorative stones can also be used on the top of planters as the stones will reduce evaporation and help to prohibit the growth of weeds.

PATIO MAINTENANCE |Regular maintenance is required to keep the overall appearance of the patio in pristine condition.

We recommend thoroughly washing paved areas with warm soapy water and brushing off with a stiff broom three or four times a year.

NOTE |

- High pressure washers are not recommended for use on manufactured paving.

- To prevent any possible surface damage, do not use de-icing substances on decorative paving.

HOW TO | CHOOSE YOUR PAVING

CHOOSING THE RIGHT STONES | Deciding the paving for your garden is a matter of taste and budget. Many people are now asking why choose handmade or natural stone, what are the key differences?

A | NATURAL STONE PRODUCTS Natural stone is a extremely hard wearing but low maintenance paving. It may contain minor imperfections as part of its natural properties. This does not affect the performance of the paving, but may mean that some discolouration occurs naturally.

B | RECONSTITUTED STONE (Handmade Stone) Each handmade stone is made from moulds using selected raw materials largely made up of cement and aggregates (often referred to as concrete or reconstituted stone). The casting moulds have been created from original stone masters and have been selected for their stone and textured appearance.

It is possible to create a range of colours that are not available in natural stone, and to produce paving that has a consistent thickness and texture.Over time the weathering process enhances the character of handmade stone, but in the short term the weathering process can appear to fade the colour.
