Getting started

The following items must be completed in preparation for your tripto Peru

Obtain approval for international travel via the on-line approval system.- Please include the purpose of your trip and the name of the person you will be working

with while on-site. This information is required to obtain local services, such as securitytransportation.

- Once the request is approved it will be assigned to an FM Travel Center agent to beginconfirming your trip.

Contact the US documentation team to determine if a business visa is required foryour trip.

Health requirements

Freeport-McMoRan employees and consultants traveling toPeru on short term business from the U.S. and Canada donot require immunizations.

Freeport-McMoRan personnel who will be residing in Perushould visit the FM Travel Center site to find out aboutnecessary vaccinations.

Arrival protocol - Lima (transit)

AIRPORT OVERNIGHT

If you are spending the night in Lima before your connecting flight to orfrom Arequipa, you will be confirmed at the Ramada Airport Hotel.This is the only available hotel near the airport and is located directlyacross the street from the airport terminal.

Once you collect your bags you will exit the terminal building andproceed to the hotel, which is immediately visible.

In most cases, you will be greeted by Oscar Legonias, a representativeof our protocol department, as you exit the baggage claim area. He willescort you to the Ramada.

You should plan to be back at the airport for your on-going flight atleast 2 hours prior to departure, as check in time at the Lima airportcan take longer than usual.

Arrival Protocol – Lima

STAYING IN DOWNTOWN LIMA

If you are staying at a hotel in downtown Lima, a car & driver will beconfirmed for you through the company approved security service,PROSEGUR.

Mr. Oscar Legonias will be waiting outside the customs area with asign displaying PROSEGUR, the first name of the visitor and the firstletter of the last name. He will escort you to your PROSEGUR driverwho will be assigned to you during your stay in Lima.(Should Mr. Legonias not be available, please reach out to the Arequipa SecurityCommand Center - see slide 11 for respective phone numbers - as they are also aware ofyour arrival)

Do not take a taxi or accept a transfer from an unapproved vendor.

If you have free time while in Lima, do not arrange transportation onyour own to go sight seeing. Traveling on your own is a safety risk andagainst company policy. All transportation arrangements should bemade through a company approved vendor. Contact the local office inLima or FM Travel Center for assistance.

Arrival Protocol – Lima cont.

In case you arrive very late or your trip was so short notice that transportation could not be coordinated through PROSEGUR, you have the ability to use the Hotel shuttle service from the airport to your downtown hotel.

If your room has been reserved in the MELIA hotel please approach the CMV Kiosk inside the baggage claim area. If your room has been reserved in SWISSOTEL or the WESTIN, please coordinate your transfer to the hotel through MITSOO.

Mention to the clerk that you have a reservation in xyz hotel and require transportation. The clerk will verify the reservation with the hotel and the cost of transport will automatically be added to your final bill.

Arrival Protocol - Arequipa

A PROSEGUR security driver will be assigned to you and will provide alltransportation for the duration of your stay in Arequipa.

The driver will be waiting just outside the terminal building with a signdisplaying the logo PROSEGUR, the first name of the visitor and thefirst letter of the last name.

Please approach the driver and ask for his passenger name. He willrespond with the full name of his passenger. That way the traveler canconfirm he is connecting with his assigned driver.

Travel & Baggage Tips

Put your name and the phone number of your destination on the inside and outside of yourbag.

Carry valuables, medication, and travel documents in your carry-on luggage.

Never pack your laptop or anything of value in a bag that you plan to check. We have norecourse for recovering stolen items.

Leave expensive jewelry at home. As a foreign visitor you do not want to draw attention toyourself.

Remain aware of your surroundings. Keep your briefcase, purse, etc. close to you, particularlyin public or crowded areas.

Avoid military clothes / bags etc. or clothing that appears to be military in origin

Check the TSA website for the most current restrictions on liquids & aerosols in your carry-on baggage

Medical evacuation

Should you suffer an illness or trauma which cannot be treated at one ofour medical facilities ISOS will evacuate you by Air Ambulance to thenearest, most appropriate Center of Medical Excellence.

Should your condition not be life or limb threatening an evacuation bycommercial airline can be undertaken. You may or may not beaccompanied by a medical staff member on this trip.

The initial stabilization will occur on-site prior to the arrival of the airambulance.
