Dear Sacred Heart Hospital Foundation Supporter, Greetings from 4th and Chew!

Greetings from 4th and Chew! My name is Jackie Jones and I am the Vice President of Foundation here at Sacred Heart. I joined the staff on Dec 1, 2014 having previously spent the last 15 years at a number of educational institutions in Development.

I am thrilled to share with you the Foundation’s first ever Philanthropy Report. This report highlights all the events and happenings in the Foundation. And most importantly, it recognizes all of our donors for their invaluable support over the last fiscal year.

The Annual Fund is the cornerstone of all giving to the hospital, and is our greatest source of unrestricted funds used to cover the most immediate financial needs of the hospital. We sincerely thank you for your continued support, for without you, Sacred Heart would be unable to continue to serve the Allentown community. Attached in this report is a pre-paid envelope for your convenience, we ask you to renew your support for Sacred Heart Hospital and make your gift for the 2015/2016 fiscal year.

We do our utmost best to ensure that all of our donors names and giving levels are accurate. If you believe we have made a mistake with your name or gift, please let us know by calling the Foundation office at 610-766-4874 so we can make changes to our online report, which can be found at www.shh.org/foundation or on our Facebook at www.facebook.com/sacredhearthospitalfoundation.

The foundation would like to extend our sincere gratitude to our donors who made it all possible!

Sacred Heart Hospital Foundation is pleased to announce the establishment of a planned

giving society, created this past fiscal year. The Legacy Society was created as a way to

recognize and thank donors who have made provisions in their estate plans for a gift to

Sacred Heart Hospital, recognizing that the gift may be postponed until after their lifetimes. The name “Legacy Society” was chosen to

acknowledge the fact that the benefits of such gifts create a perpetual legacy for our Hospital.

Additionally the Legacy Society helps the hospital to build long term financial stability.

Uses of the GiftsLegacy Society members, like all donors, are free to designate the areas within the

institution where their gift is to be used and applied. They are encouraged to enter into an endowment or expenditure agreement with

the Foundation Office documenting for future generations the mutual intentions of all parties.

This fall we will have a special

President’s Breakfast, for all Legacy Society members where they will

receive a special tile for being a member and receive an update from our CEO/President John Nespoli.
