WHAT MAKES ATENEO GREAT

So why do I enjoy life in the Ateneo Grade School and Junior High? Ill split my explanation

into a few categories:

HOW THE SCHOOL LOOKS: The campus looks great. It has a number of building and

facilities which are renovated or repainted every few years. The campus has a lot of parks such

as the Rock Garden, the fountain near the Admin offices, and the park behind the chapel. The

campus is colorful also because of the plants and flowers everywhere. The buildings look clean

and are fairly presentable. The walkways are tiled, the classrooms are filled with reminders, and

nothing looks dull.

THE FACILITIES: The school has a variety of services stationed all over the campus. The

KEMC has a library with a hundred or more books and media and visual aids for the teachers.

There are the classrooms of course, and the Administration offices. There are the Infirmaries

which have a decent supply of medicine and medical instruments. There are the prayer rooms

and the Chapel. The courts and the East Field let the students play during break times. The

facilities all serve their purpose and help the students throughout the year.

TEACHERS: Most of the teachers have been around for a long time, and are experienced. New

teachers enter Ateneo at least every year. The experienced teachers are belved by the faculty and

even by the students. Their way of teaching, their occasional jokes their popularity or their

commitment to teaching make them easy to remember and embraced by the community.

SERVICES (Cafeteria and Health Services): The cafeteria serves a variety of food, such asSmokeys and Famous Belgian Waffles. They also have food from the Elise catering. The food

in the cafeteria is good in general. The Health Services are stationed in the Admin Building and

the David Hall. They can accommodate students, teachers and parents. The doctors and nurses

are helpful and are friendly.

ACTIVITIES: Every year, a lot of events take place and help us students relax for a while and

enjoy being with our friends. There will always be the ACT play, the field trip, the contests, and

of course the Fiesta. Every year, the school celebrates the Feast of the Holy Guardian Angels

with a Fair. There are the rides, the games, the shows and the Salu-Salo. Its a time to hang out

with family and friends. Even students from other schools come over to have a part of the fun.

These are the highlights of the Grade School and Junior High. If I were to add something more

personal, Id say that the best thing about the school is that every day is fun, full of laughter, and

a few good lessons. I enjoy my life here and will really look back when I enter High School. Im

going to miss A LOT.
