Unique to WikiAnswers, every answer can have dozens of different questions that “trigger” it. When you ask a question similar to an existing one, the system connects your question to it as an “alternate.” So whether you ask “How do I grill ribs?”, “I need a recipe for BBQ ribs” or “Is there a great way to prepare ribs over a fire?”, you get the same answer. That also means that contributors don’t find themselves doing redundant work on identical answers.
