WhatistheLEEDPre-CheckIndicator?TheLEEDPre-CheckIndicatorisapreliminaryindicatorofconsistencywithspecificrequirementsoftheLEEDv4MaterialIngredientsDisclosureandOptimizationcreditdesignedtoassistbothprojectteamsandmanufacturersindeterminingwhetheracompletedHPDmeetsLEEDrequirements.Additionalchecksarerequiredtodeterminefullcompliance.ThisdocumentprovidesinformationonwhattheLEEDpre-checkdoes,andsuggestionsonadditionalchecksthataprojectteamormanufacturershouldconsiderperforming.Theindicatorresultsfromamechanicalcross-checkingbytheHPDBuilderofthepresenceofdatainspecificfieldsandinsomecasesitcheckstomakesurethe“correct”choiceisindicated.Ithaslimitedabilitytocheckthevalidityoftheinformationin“text”fields.PLEASENOTE:theLEEDPre-Checkisdescribedinthisdocument,asitisperformedasamechanicalcross-checkintheHPDBuilderonlinetool,basedontherequirementsoftheHPDOpenStandardversion2.1.Havingapre-verifiedLEEDPre-checkindicatorisanadvantageforusersofselectingHPDscreatedbytheHPDBuilder.IfanHPDwascreatedwithothertools,orusingtheHPDFillableForm,projectteamsandmanufacturersmustindependentlyverifythat,ifused,theLEEDPre-CheckwasperformedaccordingtotherequirementsoftheHPDOpenStandard.
