What is self-love?
I've defined self-love in 3 parts: purpose, self-esteem, and spirit. These are each elements of
self-love.
Purpose - You know what you’re good at, what your talents and gifts are and you want to
use them to make the world better. You know you have something to give and you WANT to
give it. It’s joyful for you to give it. Living with purpose makes you feel alive, valuable,
significant … loved.
Self-esteem - You feel SECURE IN WHO YOU ARE. Confident. No more self-criticism and
harsh judgement. Instead, you have compassion for yourself and patience with herself. You
don’t expect yourself to be perfect. Yet, you’re able to be honest with yourself. The old
insecurities you've been dragging around for decades are finally replaced with feeling safe
and secure in the world ... and within yourself.
Spirit - Our sense of spirit is honoring our true, spiritual nature. You feel directly connected
to something bigger that is loving and supportive of your highest good and greatest healing.
We are meant to love ourselves for many reasons, but especially, so we can make the world a
kinder place.
