What is ArtsFest?Since 2009 ArtsFest has been a fall tradition, a weekend long festival celebrating the arts in New Rochelle and Pelham with art exhibits, open artists’ studios, live music and dance, spoken word, a classic car show and more. ArtsFest is organized every year by the New Rochelle Council on the Arts, a 501 c 3 organization founded in 1975.

What is the New Rochelle Council on the Arts?Throughout its history the City of New Rochelle has been home to people responsible for shaping the cultural and artistic fabric of America, and over the last four decades the New Rochelle Council on the Arts (NRCA) has supported that tradition. NRCA serves as an umbrella organization for arts organizations and artists, as well as a resource for business and educational part-

ners. NRCA is dedicated to expanding the public’s interest and participation in the arts by sponsoring a broad array of art exhibitions, theatrical productions, dance performances, film screenings, art forums, spoken word events and concerts that represent the rich diversity of our community. Ongoing programs include the Sum-mer Sounds Concert Series at Hudson Park Band Shell, quarterly exhibits at NRCA’s Rotunda Gallery at City Hall, and ArtsFest. All DayNew Rochelle Walk of Fame (Ruby Dee Park) Installed in 2011, the New Rochelle Walk of Fame is a tribute to some of New Rochelle’s most notable residents throughout the city’s 325-year history. The signs, located along the park’s outer pathway, present a micro history of America with figures representing the arts, business, politics, education, the media, entertainment and sports. The Walk of Fame was created and funded by former resident and historian Roderick Kennedy Jr., working in partnership with the Downtown BID, the New Rochelle Department of Parks and Recreation and City Historian Barbara Davis.

All DayNew Rochelle Walk of Fame (Ruby Dee Park) Installed in 2011, the New Rochelle Walk of Fame is a tribute to some of New Rochelle’s most notable residents throughout the city’s 325-year history. The signs, located along the park’s outer pathway, present a micro history of America with figures representing the arts, business, politics, education, the media, entertainment and sports. The Walk of Fame was created and funded by former resident and historian Roderick Kennedy Jr., working in partnership with the Downtown BID, the New Rochelle Department of Parks and Recreation and City Historian Barbara Davis.
