TECHNOLOGYTechno 1: COMPATIBLE AUTODESK PLATFORMS

� The release 7.1 is compatible with the following Autodesk platforms:

Techno 2: MULTIPLE DONGLES

� Do you use a dongle? The Release 7.1 comes with an improvement: now you can use simultaneously Arche and Advance on the samecomputer with two different USB dongle keys.

Techno 3: SETTINGS and LIBRARIES for NEW COUNTRIES

� Czech Republic and the new related libraries have been added in the starting wizard: bar library, fabric library, shapes codes, symbols,materials, currencies,…

Techno 4: MS INSTALLER

� The setup allows installing Advance in any regional settings (Chinese, Polish, etc…)



Techno 5: DWG – FEATURES FOR EXPORT MANAGEMENT

� The export to DWG has been improved to get better, more accurate view representation on layouts.More features have been implemented to helping you manage the export:- The option to export all objects or only the visible elements- The XRef’s can be exported or not

The layouts can be exported in separated layers for every element type according to the selected layer naming standard.



Techno 6: PROJECT PROPERTIES – MORE INFORMATION

� More project information can be specified in the “Project properties” dialog. Once the properties are set they can be displayed in lists and titleblocks.



Techno 7: AUTOMATIC REINFORCEMENT – SCROLL

� Now it is easier to access automatic reinforcement properties: the mouse wheel can be used to scroll the panel.



STRUCTURAL MODELINGModel 1: STRUCTURAL ELEMENTS - top and bottom elevation in tooltips

� The top and bottom elevation for structural elements can be displayed in tooltips.



Model 2: SUPPORT CREATION

� The sill creation has been reviewed. Now they are created outside the opening so that the opening height is unchanged.



Model 3: SLAB OPENING FOR ELEVATOR PIT

� A new type of slab opening that adds additional material to the slab is now available in Advance.



Model 4: COPY OPENINGS

� The tool “Copy or move the elements” can be used now to copy all kind of openings from one level to another.Select the openings to be copied and then the target level. Advance looks for the corresponding element (slab or wall) at the required locationand creates there the openings. If the elements are not found, a warning is displayed.



Model 5: TRANSFORM POLYLINES IN OPENINGS

� The conversion tool has been extended. Now you can convert polylines to slab openings.



Model 6: SWITCH START AND END POINTS

� A small improvement for beams, walls, continuous foundations and beddings: a new grip point allows switching the start and end point. Forslabs, the grip point allows permutation.



Model 7: DISPLAY OR HIDE THE ROOF

� Now you have the option to display or hide the control surface for roofs and ramps. Advance displays a tooltip informing you about theperformed action.

Model 8: ISOLATED FOOTINGS – SNAP TO THE CENTER POINT

� In the “Model” mode you can now snap to the center grip point of an isolated footing.



Model 9: HATCH ANGLE CONTROL

� An interesting improvement in structural elements representation: now you can rotate the hatching by a given angle when the element (wall,beam,…) is "wrong" inclined.



Model 10: MODEL – MODIFY THE AXIS COLOR

� A small implementation, useful for managing the axes representation of the linear structural elements: the axis can be displayed in differentcolors.



Model 11: MODEL – FORMWORK CHECKING TOOL

� A new checking tool for modeling errors is available. For now, the following modeling errors are detected:- identical elements overlapping- beams through wall openings- windows outside the wall- different objects with the same number



Model 12: PILES – PILES ON A SEPARATE LEVEL

� Piles can be created on a special level, below the foundations level.



Model 13: DRILL DEPTH AREA

� A totally new tool allows defining drill depth areas after creating the piles level. The drill depth map is defined by creating polygonal areaswith same drill depth. When creating piles, these adapt automatically their depth to the drill area below.To plug a pile more or less than the drill depth area, uncheck the option: “Bound to drill depth area” in the smartbar.Also, it is possible to add a label in the drill depth area properties. The label can be displayed on the slope annotation.



Model 14: PILES – Preferences – Length for pile assembly

� The piles can be assembled in the structural member by an amount specified in the project settings.



Model 15: PILES LIBRARY

� The piles libraries as *.mdb Access files are according to the rules, but can be also customized by the user. You can find there differentnecessary values for drawing piles.



Modèle 16: PILES ANCHOR LENGTH

� Now you can set the piles anchor length in the properties dialog and in the library.



CONSTRUCTION DRAWINGSDraw 1: DISPLAY AND SELECT BY TYPE IN CALCULATED VIEWS

� A very useful implementation: the tools “Display by type” and “Select by type” can be used in Drawings mode also.



Draw 2: VIEWS – Insert dynamic blocks for views

A new tool allows now inserting dynamic blocks in calculated views. The program establishes a link with the structural elements and updatesthe block at view update.

The dynamic block is connected to the breast The block is adjusted on view update



Draw 3: VIEWS – Symbol customization for openings and walls

Dynamic blocks can be controlled from the structural elements Properties dialog, Representation tab. You can select the dynamic blocks theprogram will insert automatically in model and in calculated views.



Draw 4: VIEWS VISIBLE IN ALL INTERSECTED LEVELS

� A section, elevation or a top/bottom view symbol is now visible in all intersected levels. For example, if you create a full height section on“level 1” and then activate any other level of the building, the section symbol is there also visible.

Draw 5: CUT – IMPROVED UPDATE

� A cut is marked as “not up to date” only if it is affected by the changes made in the model or in the cut properties. For instance, if you modifythe properties of an element which is not intersected by the cut, the view is not marked for update.

Draw 6: CUT – MORE GRIPS ON THE CUT SYMBOL

� Also a small improvement on the views representation in the model: new grip points are now available allowing to place the text in therequired position.



Draw 7: CUT – MOVE THE SECTION NAME

� The “Section name” text can be placed anywhere in the drawing; the update will not change the text position.



Draw 8: CUT – MOVE ACCORDING BUILDING LEVEL

� You can modify the building level without concerns about the defined cut – the section cut are always created at the right place. No need torecreate them.

Draw 9 SYMBOLS

� The attributes for the upper and lower levels have been implemented for all structural elements.



Draw 10: SYMBOLS – SAVE SYMBOL

� The symbols can be created directly from the properties dialog. Edit texts, insert attributes… All changes can be saved under a new symbolfor later use.



Draw 11: ANNOTATION – MOVE WITH ELEMENT

� You can move the elements anywhere in the drawing. The annotations move accordingly. The annotation does not move if the wall lengthchange.

Draw 12: COPY VISUAL ELEMENTS FROM ONE LEVEL TO ANOTHER

� This is a terrific tool allowing copying dimensions, labels and symbols from one level to another. Advance looks for the correspondingelement at the required location and copies the visual elements.



Draw 13: DIMENSION BY POINTS

� A new tool allows creating a linear dimension from a set of points. In addition this command is able to add text overrides with openingsparameters, such as the opening height, the sill or the threshold height.

Draw 14: DIMENSIONS – ASSOCIATIVE DIMENSION

� The associative dimension tool has been reviewed. The tool doesn’t create unnecessary lines so the drawings are cleaner.

Draw 15: UPDATE INTERSECTION DIMENSIONS

� A small but important improvement in the intersection dimension update command. Now several intersection dimensions can be updated atonce.



REINFORCEMENT DRAWINGSReo 1: NODE 3D VIEW

� 3D reinforcement viewer can be started now from the model. The viewer recreates very easily the reinforcement cages starting from acreated reinforcement drawing.



Reo 2: POINT BARS – MORE PLACEMENT OPTIONS

� Additional placement options have been added for point bars. Negative values are allowed, giving the user more flexibility when placing pointbars at corners.



Reo 3: BARS – ADDITIONAL LABELS

Now you can set additional bar labels.



Reo 4: LISTS – HIGHLIGHTED NOT UP TO DATE LIST

� After creating a list it might be necessary to modify some bar or fabric properties or even delete some elements. Not updated lists are easierto notice as now they are displayed in red. Also, a new button in the smartbar indicates the list state.



Reo 5: LISTS – THE MULTIPLICATION FACTOR IS TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT

� The multiplication factor is taken into account in the lists. It is possible to set different multiplication factors on the same definition bar.



Reo 6: LINEAR REPARTITION – MANAGE SMART BAR CONTROLS

� An interesting improvement in the linear repartition properties bar: Now you can display only certain controls - just right click on the Smartbarand select from the displayed menu the controls to add.

Reo 7: LINEAR REPARTITION – REPARTITION LINE

� The repartition line position is unchanged at definition bar length modification.

Reo 8: LINEAR REPARTITION – THE BAR IS LINKED TO THE DIMENSION LINE

� A small improvement allowing to get the proper representation according to the Dutch standards has been added: When moving therepartition line away from the definition bar, it is displayed linked to the displayed bars.



Reo 9: REPARTITIONS

� An important improvement in break bar tool: breaking a bar now also breaks the attached repartitions.

Reo 10: REPARTITION – BREAK A STRAIGHT OR POLYGONAL BAR WITH POINT REPARTITION

� After breaking a straight or polygonal bar with point repartitions, quantities are not affected.



Reo 11: LINEAR VARIABLE REPARTITIONS – BARE ANCHORAGE

� Also an important improvement in linear variable repartition tool behavior: the bar anchorage extends outside the repartition contour.



Reo 12: REPARTITION DIMENSION – LESS GRIP POINTS

� Only the important grip points of the repartition dimension are displayed.

Reo 13: REPARTITION DIMENSION – MOVE THE TEXT

� The repartition dimension has been improved. A grip point allows placing the text anywhere in the drawing.



Reo 14: LINEAR REPARTITION – LINK THE REINFORCEMENT SYMBOL TO THE REPARTITION LINE

� The bar symbol can be linked now to the repartition line.



Reo 15: STRAIGHT BARS ANNOTATED ACORDING TO CONTEXT

� Straight bars in section views are annotated differently automatically according to the context.- Linear repartitions are created where repartition dimensions are required- Point repartition are created where symbols are required



Reo 16: HIDE REPARTITION AND DEFINITION

� After distributing a bar or a bent fabric henceforth it is possible to hide the definition or the repartition. The command works also for the fabricrepresentation in the cuts. It is a very useful functionality for surface reinforcements.



Reo 17: FABRICS – MOVE THE FABRIC SYMBOL

� The fabric symbol has been improved. A grip point allows now placing the fabric symbol anywhere within the fabric contour. The lines andthe annotations are properly adjusted.



Reo 18: FABRICS – CONCRETE COVER MEASURED TO THE EDGE

� The concrete cover is now measured to the edge and not to the axe as in the previous version.



Reo 19: FABRICS – WEIGHT AND NUMBERING BASED ON BOUNDING BOX

� With this feature the fabric shape can be taken into account or not for weight calculation and numbering.

Reo 20: BENDING DETAILS – DIMENSIONS ONLY ON ANGULAR SEGMENTS

� Now the dimensions display on bending detail is cleaner: Only the angular segments are dimensioned as for the orthogonal segments thedisplayed length is enough.

Reo 21: BENDING DETAILS – NUMBER OF ELEMENTS WITH THE SAME POSITION NUMBER

� The attribute <TotalQuantity> has been created to allow the user calculating (in a single bending detail) the number of all elements with thesame position number (in a single bending detail).



Reo 22: BENDING DETAILS ON SELECTED BARS

� A new command allows now to create bending details on a specified selection.

Reo 23: BARS SYMBOLS AND REPARTITION DIMENSIONS ON SELECTION

� A new command allows now to create bar symbols and repartition dimension on a specified selection.



Reo 24: LIST – WARNING FOR INCONSISTENT BARS

� An interesting feature: a warning is displayed if two different bars with a same number are in the same list.



Reo 25: LIST – FILTER SELECTION

� A new improvement in list creation: the reviewed options allow now the user to select a certain category (bars, fabrics) from a view.

Reo 26: SYMBOL ON A SUB ENTITY

� A new tool allows creating a symbol on only one element of a bar or a fabric repartition.



Reo 27: SYMBOL – DISPLAY MULTIPLE ELEMENT DISTANCES

� There are available several distances to be displayed in reinforcement symbols, repartition dimension and bending detail annotation. Now itis possible to extract each of the distances and get this way on the drawing exactly the information you need.

Reo 28: REINFORCEMENT – SECTION REPARTITION

� Improvement in the section distribution: Now you have the option to copy the original section. This way the same sections remains availablefor another repartition.



Reo 29: REINFORCING STYLES – CONTINOUS BEAM

� A new reinforcing style has been created for CONTINOUS BEAMS. It extends the range of possibilities to reinforce automatically thesestructural elements.



Reo 30: REINFORCEMENT STYLE – GROUP CONTINOUS BEAMS BY LENGTH

� Improvement in the continuous beam reinforcing style. Now you can apply a reinforcement style to all spans with a length in a defined range.



Reo 31: REINFORCING STYLES – NEW SLAB OPENING

� A new reinforcing style has been created for ELEVATOR PITS. It extends the range of possibilities to reinforce automatically these structuralelements.



Reo 32: REINFORCING STYLES – SLAB RECESS

� A new reinforcing style has been created for SLAB RECESS. It extends the range of possibilities to reinforce automatically these structuralelements.



Reo 33: REINFORCING STYLES – TAKE JUNCTIONS INTO ACCOUNT

� Wall reinforcing style: detect junctions and extend reinforcement accordingly



Reo 34: WALL REINFORCING STYLES – NEW REINFORCEMENT ELEMENTS

� The wall reinforcing styles have been extended with new reinforcement elements:- rectangular frame at wall ends.

- beam frames along the wall



Reo 35: WALL REINFORCING STYLES – INTERRUPT VERTICAL BARS INSIDE COLUMNS

Vertical bars are not created inside the columns for reinforcing walls.

� The slab&wall reinforcing styles have been extended with new reinforcement elements. It is possible to add contour, rectangular frames.

� A new option to add rectangular frames in the reinforcing style has been added for ISOLATED FOOTINGS. It extends the range ofpossibilities to reinforce automatically these structural elements.

� A new option allows to alternate the anchor diametrs in the COLUMN reinforcing style. It extends the range of possibilities to reinforceautomatically these structural elements.
