What is it?Ms Publisher is a Microsoft
software program that allows you to make
publications professionally using templates and tools to create items such as:
Brochures, Business cards, Calendars, Newsletters,
Greeting cards, etc.

Getting Started
When MS Publisher opens, you have the following two choices;
Open an existing document from your G:drive (which opens an existing document that you have already created).
Create a new document using one of the Available Templates.
Getting Started
When you select an Available Template type a variety of specific options will appear. For example, if you select Greeting Cards, a listing will appear of different types of greeting cards, such as; Birthday, Get Well, Thank You, etc.
Select your desired template by clicking on the thumb nail picture of it and then clicking on Create or Download.
You are now free to edit the template selected and add in the required information.
Changing Colour Scheme
Click icon to add pictureClick on the Page Design tab.
Click the drop down (more) arrow in the Schemes section, to see the available options.
Use your mouse to select and preview the many options.
Adding a Background
Click on the Page Design tab. Click on the Background icon and select
your desired option.
Making your Own Border
Click on the Insert tab. Click on the Shapes icon and select the
Rectangle. Draw a rectangle that matches up with the
outline (dotted lines) on the page. Click on the rectangle and the Drawing
Tools Format toolbar will appear. You can then adjust the Style using a variety
of options and effects.
Ordering Objects
Ordering Objects allows the user to move individual objects into unique positions in a stack.
To change the order of any object; Select the object you wish to change. Click on the Home tab and then select the
Bring Forward or Send Backward icon.
Bring Forward Moves one position toward the top of the stack.
Bring to Front Moves the selected object to the top of the stack.
Send Backward
Moves one position toward the bottom of the stack.
Send to Back Moves the selected object to the bottom of the stack.
Select the specific operation that you wish to perform (see below).
