I aim to address an audience, who I believe has not given much thought to God, neither in favor or against Him. I think that just like anything else, one must also have an opinion about god, and this might vary drastically from one to another. I, through this short speech, want to persuade the audience to think more broadly about god. I do not intend to establish a set of rules that define god, but I hope to aid in the thought process of my audience helping them to define god for themselves, to doubt or reinforce his existence. I myself have gone through a drastic transformation when it comes to my belief regarding God. From being a theist for a major part of my life, I have become more of an agnostic now, who is slowly and steadily turning into an atheist. A lot of ugly incidents have happened in the name of god, and thus I believe that confronting the audience with these harsh realities is all the more important. It’s not only the uneducated, but even the most educated who succumb to such unfortunate events. Thus educating everyone regarding the concept of God is paramount. The central idea of my speech revolves around questioning the existence of God. I do not want the audience to believe my views, because that would mean agreeing to my ideologies about god. I rather want the audience to have a more holistic idea about god, not limited to any bias or prejudices. I would start out by citing the words of a Jewish prisoner in a concentration camp to gain attention. In the body of the speech, I will mention that humans, who are considered to be God’s best creation, have demolished monuments, burnt trains, ransacked news agencies and killed thousands of people, all in the name of God making God as human’s worst creation. I would evaluate God on the basis of his ability and willingness to prevent evil, coming up with all possible permutations of the same, and in the process question the very existence of the God. I will also discuss about these arguments

I will also discuss about these arguments doubt the fundamentals of omnipotence and benevolence that are associated with god.

This is what I would like to end with and leave the audience to ponder upon the existence of god.
