Purpose An academic and college preparation program
designed to meet the specific needs of students attending LCPS high schools
Serves over 500 students countywide Admission to and success in college are among the
goals of the program.
Academic Enrichment and Support Mandatory CAMPUS classes and/or meetings Structured curriculum
college preparation application & admissions process financial aid & scholarship preparation time management study skills self-advocacy skills leadership development
2-Day Summer Seminar (Held the summer before the high school year begins for newly-selected CAMPUS students)
College and Career Workshops Freshman Campus Visit to George Mason University
College Visits
Visit various types of colleges and universities
Students are encouraged to attend at least 1 college visit per year.
College Visit to Johns Hopkins University
College Fair Participation(CAMPUS students attend and volunteer)
CAMPUS Student Ambassadors
Serve as representatives for the CAMPUS Program
Participate in leadership development training
Serve as a liaison to CAMPUS students
Mentorship Program with the Loudoun Laurels Foundation
Student Ambassadors at Executive Youth Leadership Summit at U.S. Capitol
CAMPUS Senior Celebration (CAMPUS honors seniors)
CAMPUS Senior Celebration(Seniors with CAMPUS Staff)
CAMPUS Senior Celebration(CAMPUS honors seniors and their parents)
CAMPUS Graduates
Parental Involvement
Asked to support their children in college search and application process
Asked to attend bi-monthly parent meetings Asked to serve as chaperones for college visits

college or university Come from a single-parent family Come from a historically under represented
population May be considered socio-economically
disadvantaged
