What is California?
It's late-afternoon sun on the vines;The frothy crest of a wave;
Leaves rustling along the cul-de-sac;A cable car rumbling by.
It's subtle moon light shadows; The blazing midday sun on the dusty windscreen;
Starry specks sparkling high above;A plane en-route to places unknown.
It's the city lights; The headlights;
The morning light;Your favorite reading light.
It's smelling freshly-cut grass; Feeling sand between your toes;
Taking in mountaintop vistas;Hiking the graceful curve of a lake.
It's the skyline coming into view;Your heart quickening;
Your self unfolding;Your senses throbbing.
It's the skyline coming into view;Your heart quickening;
Your self unfolding;Your senses throbbing.
It's the crunch of fresh vegetables;The tangy zest of lemons;
The velvety smoothness of ripe avocados;The sharp taste of Zinfandel on your tongue.
It's comfortable, beautiful and enduring;Enchanting, enriching and rewarding;
This is life refined, timeless and refreshing;A beautiful aura that surrounds you.
It's friends, family and lovers;Time to chill, time to create, time to laugh;
Converse, debate and gossip;Being all alone, totally happy and content.
Most of all, it's like feeling right at home.
Ideas that matter.
