What is an educational foundation?

There are 120 (or more) educational foundations in Pennsylvania

Most enhance and enrich the curriculum, promoting innovations that augment and supplement basic instruction.

We do not supplant – or take the place of –state funds or funds generated from Abington School District school taxes already in place to pay for your child’s education.

What we have done recently 2014-2015 school year = AEF gives almost $66,500 to ASD

We raised $30,000

The Annual AEF 5K Walk/Run• Organized and led by the ASHS Student AEF• About 100 participants from all over the district• $1500 raised for the AEF!• Overall winner was 7th grader Luke Schrader, finishing with the

fastest time amongst all participants!

2015-16 Teacher GrantsThe AEF has budgeted $10,000 for the

2015-2016 school year for teacher mini-grants.

The application is available to teachers via the intranet of the Abington School District.

Bites, Brew and Q

Join us May 6, 2016 for a fun evening of Music and Trivia. Tickets are $25 each which includes food, trivia and music. This event will be held at Church of Our Saviour Social Hall in Jenkintown. Come vote for your favorite local bite!

Raffle

We are selling $10 raffle tickets. The winner will be pulled at the Bites, Brew and Q event on May 6th. The prize is $1,000.00.
