Summary


Vibration Fixture

Toyota Data Communication Module

(DCM) needs to run through vibration

testing

Parameters:

3 DCMs to test at a time

Must fit onto testing fixture (size and pattern)

No two important surfaces should touch

3 holes for eyebolts spaced 80mm from the

DCM

1 hole for accelerometer near middle



Environmental Rack

Toyota DCM’s need to run through

various environmental tests and

fixture needs to hold them

Parameters

Needs to be able to hold 5 DCM’s in 3

different orientations

Must be enough clearance for power

source to plug in

Pieces should be at least 3/8” diameter (for

tapping)



Fixing Broken Button Actuator

Initially assumed ice was causing failuresAfter investigation three issues were discovered

One of the cylinders was broken

Pressure was controlled by two gauges (not one)

One of the knobs was recessed

SolutionsThe cylinder was replaced

Pressure on both gauges were raised

The knob is still being investigated

A desiccant was added to remove any moisture in the air
