PLEASE DO PUT THESE IN OUR RECYCLING BINS PLEASE DO NOT PUT THESE IN OUR RECYCLING BINS HELP MAINTAIN AN EFFICIENT RECYCLING PROGRAM BY FOLLOWING THESE PROCEDURES: Keep recyclable items clean, free of liquids and contamina on. Do not place non-recyclable items in the bins; it jeopardizes the recycling program. PLASTIC BIN: Empty and flatten containers with caps on. NO PLASTIC BAGS, STYROFOAM, OR PRESCRIPTION BOTTLES. PLASTIC BAG BIN: Condense plastic grocery and shopping bags, zip-lock bags, bread bags, cereal box liners, and bubble wrap. PAPER BIN: Newspaper, magazines, phone books, junk mail, office paper and paperback books are accepted (staples and bindings are okay) NO NEON PAPER OR FIBERS THAT DO NOT TEAR. CARDBOARD BIN: Break down and flatten boxes to conserve space in the bin. Brown paper bags accepted. NO FOOD CONTAMINATED CARDBOARD, such as gooey PIZZA BOX bottom, or WAX COATED MATERIALS, such as 1/2 GALLON MILK CARTONS and JUICE CARTONS. ALUMINUM AND STEEL BIN: Clean and crush aluminum and steel cans. Empty aerosol cans accepted. NO ALUMINUM FOIL. BEAR SPRAY CANISTERS: Drop off empty or partially full canisters at staffed entrance stations, back country offices, and General Stores. These hotels accept canisters: Canyon Lodge, Grant Village, Lake Hotel, Mammoth, Old Faithful Snow Lodge, and Roosevelt Lodge. PROPANE CAMPING CYLINDERS: Place empty or partially full cylinders in wire-mesh bins located at Bridge Bay Marina, Fishing Bridge Store, and the following campgrounds: Canyon, Grant, Indian Creek, Madison, Mammoth, Pebble Creek, Slough Creek, and Tower.
