Everyday, more than 22,350 Department of Corrections officers
and employees ensure public safety in Florida. The Corrections
Foundation serves the Department’s dedicated staff and supports
programs that ensure safety for us all.
The mission of the Corrections Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit
corporation authorized by State of Florida Statute, is to provide
support for the programs, staff, and services of the Department of
Corrections through grants, contributions, and community
partnerships promoting and supporting public safety in our
institutions and the communities in which we serve.

show their support.
-Officer, Liberty Correctional Institution
I wanted to let you know I have been a recipient of the
Corrections Foundation when I really was in a very bad
medical & financial situation. I have nothing but good
to say about the program.
- Health Information Specialist, Brevard
Correctional Institution
It does my heart good to know that we have a program
to help our own.
-Warden, Walton Correctional Institution
When I joined the Department of Corrections as a
chaplain and became a member of the Foundation,
everything was going well in my life. Never did I expect
to be one that would come and request assistance from
you.
-Chaplain, Jackson Correctional Institution
The Foundation does a wonderful job and I am proud to
be connected with it. We are truly a family, and families
help one another. Thank you for your commitment.
-Deputy Regional Director, Community Corrections
Thank you for the generous gift that we recently
received. We are very humbled by your concern and
kindness. I am very blessed to be part of an organization
that cares for their employees.
-Correctional Officer, RMC
I can’t begin to express what your gift means to me and
my family. The money is most definitely helpful and will
go to extremely good use, there’s no doubt about that.
But more than the monetary value, I so greatly
appreciate the thought behind the gift. Illness is a
burden but your actions have surely lightened the load.
For that especially, I thank you. Knowing that I have
the support of coworkers/family like you certainly helps.
Please know I won’t forget your kind gesture. Thank you
again from the bottom of my heart.
-Classification Officer, Cross City CI

EMPLOYEE
ASSISTANCE Each day, more than 22,350 officers and staff of the
Florida Department of Corrections protect Floridians
in virtually every community. The Corrections
Foundation understands how important it is to take
care of those who protect us. That’s why since 1999,
we’ve given over $8.3 million to more than 9,150
officers and employees during the most critical times
of their lives through the Employee Assistance
Program.
The Employee Assistance Program is supported by
memberships and sponsorships. Special thanks to our
15,000 members and our community partners who
make it possible for us to help DC employees during
the toughest of times.
Situations in which the Corrections Foundation can
assist Department employees include: Critical health;
excessive medical bills, accidents with injuries, house
fires, natural disasters and more.

partners like the Animal Wel-
fare Foundation support the
