I wanted to let you know I have been a recipient of the

Corrections Foundation when I really was in a very bad

medical & financial situation. I have nothing but good

to say about the program.

- Health Information Specialist, Brevard

Correctional Institution

It does my heart good to know that we have a program

to help our own.

When I joined the Department of Corrections as a

chaplain and became a member of the Foundation,

everything was going well in my life. Never did I expect

to be one that would come and request assistance from

you.

my family. The money is most definitely helpful and will

go to extremely good use, there’s no doubt about that.

But more than the monetary value, I so greatly

appreciate the thought behind the gift. Illness is a

burden but your actions have surely lightened the load.

ASSISTANCE Each day, more than 22,350 officers and staff of the

Florida Department of Corrections protect Floridians

in virtually every community. The Corrections

Foundation understands how important it is to take

care of those who protect us. That’s why since 1999,

we’ve given over $8.3 million to more than 9,150

officers and employees during the most critical times

of their lives through the Employee Assistance

Program.

The Employee Assistance Program is supported by

memberships and sponsorships. Special thanks to our

15,000 members and our community partners who

make it possible for us to help DC employees during

the toughest of times.

Situations in which the Corrections Foundation can

assist Department employees include: Critical health;

excessive medical bills, accidents with injuries, house

fires, natural disasters and more.

PROGRAM SPONSORS Community donations from

partners like the Animal Wel-

fare Foundation support the

Inspector General’s Office K-9

Drug Unit, K-9 Tracking Teams
