Captured Moments ☻ Samuel Johnson once said, “The true art of memory is the art of attention.” In this one-day journaling workshop we will experience the gifts of the journal by writing word sketches that capture the intricate texture of memory. These writing “snapshots” will focus on the imagery, sensations, feelings and qualities of a moment in time. The resulting “story bites” can be used in photo albums or scrapbooks, as vignettes, essays or short stories; all legacies which preserve the richness of your memory. Alternatively, you may wish to keep your reflections on the journal pages private, for your own enjoyment, empowerment, growth and healing. Writing experience is not necessary. Please bring along your sense of adventure, and a notebook, favourite pen and bag lunch. Facilitator Bio: Kathie Sutherland is a journaling facilitator whose vision is to support others on their journeys of self-discovery. With fifteen years of writing and publishing experience and a lifetime of inner searching as inspiration, she now conducts workshops which stimulate the mind, body and heart. She believes journaling is a powerful tool for exploring different sides of our nature, discovering new insights, creating options, and increasing wisdom. Kathie loves journeying to new places, both inner and outer, hugging her grandkids, scuba diving and writing.
