MISSIONS AND EVANGELISM

SEPTEMBER MONTHLY MISSION - ASLANE'S MISSION33% of people in Meridian live below the poverty level according to the Meridian census. Most of this 33% are considered homeless. Sadly, many of these are becoming more andmore families with children.

In the month of September, here is what you can do:

1. Take donated items to the Aslane's Thrift store located in the Broadmoor ShoppingCenter at 49-hundred Poplar Springs Drive. 2. GREATEST NEED RIGHT NOW: The idea that homeless people are not wantingto help themselves is NOT true. Christie Rainer has many homeless clients that comethrough the mission that are dedicated to getting back to their life but they need id'sand birth certificates in order to get a job.

ID cost-$14. Birth Certificate cost-$20.

How awesome would it be that we as a church came together to help some of thesepeople to get their life back! Be encouraged but also be challenged! Please contactKristina Crabtree at [email protected] if you would like to contribute moneytoward the purchase of these items.

If you would like to volunteer, please callChristie Rainer at 601.482.8442 or601.450.8524.

WORSHIP

CHURCH CANHAPPEN ANYWHERE

Church doesn't just happen whenwe're sitting in the pew.

Church happens when we reach out tothose who are hungry, sick, orforgotten. When we work together toend disease and relieve suffering, when we stand together for justiceand inclusion, and when we open ourhearts to those who are struggling, that's putting beliefs into action.
