Why did the AGSM change the program? The Academic Program Review is a compulsory process at UNSW to assess and ensure quality and relevance of university programs, including their structure and curriculum. The changes included in the MBA Executive review are the result of an extensive 15 month process which included: • Surveys of students and alumni • Feedback from students, alumni and industry • Benchmarking the program against similar

programs both in Australia and overseas • Feedback from faculty, industry and employer

groups

What did the research identify? Our research identified a small number of concerns that we were asked to consider: • The number of day’s students spent in residence –

and whether we could incorporate more modern models of course design to reduce this load

• Allowing students to follow areas of personal or professional interest in addition to completing the core body of knowledge required of students graduating with an MBA degree.

The differences between the SMY and the revised Executive Agenda Year (EAY)

Current Program Stage 2 – SMY is 48UOC made up of Leadership (6 UOC) + 4 residentials x 10.5UOC Strategic Management Year Residentials

Total cost: $40,800 + $5,250 residential fee = $46,050 *2017 prices include GST*

Revised Program Stage 2 – EAY is 48UOC made up of 4 residentials x 12 UOC Executive Management Residentials:

1. Strategic Leadership 2. Innovation 3. Growth 4. Transformation

Total cost: $40,800 + $4,250 residential fee = $45,050 *2017 prices include GST*

The AGSM MBA (Executive) is the most

highly regarded post-graduate program

of its kind in the region. Managing one of

the world’s most prestigious luxury brands,

we never settle for second best, so the

AGSM was the only way to go for me.

Glen Schlehuber Vice President & Managing Director at Tiffany & Co.

“The calibre of people teaching at the AGSM is really world class, but also the

content. It’s in touch with real life – the

theory we were learning translated to my

everyday working life. The networks you

make are with you for life, you meet some

fantastic people you wouldn’t necessarily

meet otherwise.”
