Lesson 2

Your objectives today

• To reflect on the events on July 7th and consider its lasting effects

• To take part in a Forum Theatre piece either offering ideas or by directly acting within the piece

• To respond with maturity to the topic and consider your own viewpoints in light of what you explore today

Forum Theatre

Exploring an issue through theatre whereby the audience keep stopping the action, making suggestions, and the actors respond trying the new ideas without rehearsal.

Lee Rigby

• "We would like to emphasise that Lee would not want people to use his name as an excuse to carry out attacks against others. We would not wish any other families to go through this harrowing experience and appeal to everyone to keep calm and show their respect in a peaceful manner. Lee had many friends from different walks of life – some with different religious beliefs and cultures. But this made no difference to Lee – he always treated others with the greatest of respect."

What is this a picture of and how does it link to the work today and the statement by Lee Rigby’s parents?

What do you think are the lasting messages you are to take away from today’s lesson?
