WHAT ABOUT THE JEHOVAH’S WITNESSES?

“…The time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead…they will gather around them…teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. (2 Timothy 4:3-4).

For some reason we’re fascinated by the strange --

the unorthodox -- the controlling. Frankly, the

Jehovah’s Witnesses are all three.

• The strange: Jehovah’s Witness don’t believe in blood transfusions or birthdays.

• The unorthodox: Jehovah Witnesses don’t believe in the doctrine of the Trinity or the symbol of the cross.

• The controlling: Jehovah’s Witnesses are known for their aggressive leadership and a tendency to dominate members.

Don’t Try To Earn Salvation And Eternal Life.

“As for you, you were dead in your…sins…But because of [God’s] great love for us, God… made us alive with Christ…For it is by grace you have been saved…and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God, not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s workmanship…”

(Ephesians 2:1; 45; 8-10).

Claim The Fullness of God, As Father, Son, And

Holy Spirit.

The word Trinity is not explicitly found in scripture. But it’s strongly inferred. For example, Jesus commands us in Matthew 28 to go and make disciples in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Sprit (Matthew 28:19).

And in 2 Corinthians 13, Paul prays: “May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you.” (2 Corinthians 13:4).

“Oh, the depth of the riches…of God! How untraceable (mysterious, undiscoverable) are His ways (His methods, His paths)!...For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. [For all things originate with Him and come from Him; all things live through Him, and all things center…and…end in Him.] To Him be glory forever! Amen…” (Romans 11:33-36, The Amplified Bible).

Live With Freedom, Not Rigidness and Legalism.

In the case of birthdays, both references to birthdays in scripture, the birthday of Pharaoh in Genesis 40 (Genesis

40:20-22) and the birthday of Herod in Matthew 14 (Matthew

14:6-10), result in murder; not a good outcome for a birthday party!

And in regards to blood transfusions, how could you ever think of such a thing, after reading Acts 15:20 and Acts 21:25 where believers are commanded to “abstain from…blood.”

“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free…You who are trying to be justified by law (living legalistically) have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace…You were running a good race. Who cut in on you and kept you from obeying the truth…You, my brothers were called to be free…” (Galatians 5:1; 4; 6; 7; 13).

“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free…”

(Galatians 5:1).

Experience the fullness of the Almighty: God the Father – God the Son – God the Holy Spirit. “For from Him -- and through Him -- and to Him -- are all things… [And so] to Him -- be glory forever!…”
