Waveguide has been at the forefront of the AVindustry since its inception. In 1999 Scott Walkerwas elected by his consultant peers to be thechairman of the consultants council for theInternational Communications IndustriesAssociation. After two terms in this position, Scottwas elected president of ICIA and became the first

independent consultant to hold the esteemedposition in the more than 60-year history of thispremier AV trade association. Following his tenureas president, Scott served as chair of the 2005 ICIABoard of Governors.

Waveguide believes professional training and certification is vital in thecommunications industries.

The Certified AudioVisual Solutions Provider (CAVSP) program is the industrysstandard certification for audiovisual professionals. Waveguide is a certified goldlevel solutions provider, the highest level a company can achieve through theInfoComm program. This level recognizes that 75 percent of Waveguides staffhave and maintain general or specialized CTS certifications.

The Certified Technical Specialist in Design (CTS-D) is the highest designqualification recognized by InfoComms CAVSP program; six Waveguide staffmembers hold the prestigious certification.

Additionally, Waveguides staff includes Professional Engineer (PE), RegisteredCommunications Distribution Designer (RCDD) and Certified Technical Specialistin Installation (CTS-I) certified consultants.
