Design and construction of high-performance wastewater treatment systems that maximise biodiversity

WWT Consulting offers wetland solutions for domestic, industrial, commercial and agricultural wastewater to meet environmental permitting conditions. Wetland treatment systems use physical and biological processes to treat wastewater to a standard which is suitable for discharge to the environment.

All too often, constructed wetland design produces homogenous, square boxes of reed which we view as a missed opportunity. Our specialist understanding of designing and managing wetland habitats means we can ensure our treatment systems are rich in biodiversity and fit aesthetically into the surrounding landscape. Where appropriate, our designs also include additional benefits such as the detention of site stormwater, the combination of treatment with aquaculture, agriculture and industrial recycling of water and the realising of amenity and recreational benefits for the local community.
