T he award-winning team at Raine and Horne St Marys say the invest-ment market in St Marys

is strong despite Sydney’s housing price boom.

Tom Turner, Business Develop-ment Manager, said that “there is no wrong time to buy” an invest-ment property.

“There’s no right or wrong time to buy an investment property, contrary to what many people believe,” he said.

“If you are in a position to buy an investment property, in areas such as St Marys, the return on rent is usually enough to cover mortgage repayments.”

“From about last October to February there was quite a slow-ing down of the rental market, but at the moment the market has completely turned around,” Mr Turner said.

“Currently, out of over 1,500 properties on our books, we prob-ably only have about 15 properties vacant.

“Also, rent for properties in St Marys has jumped by about $20 per week over the last year.”

Peter Diamantidis, Sales Associ-ate, who was awarded sixth for ‘Top Sales – number of sales across Australia’, added that investors are also taking advantage of the low interest rates.

“Within the last 12 months, our offi ce has sold over 200 properties with 80 per cent of those being investors,” he said.

“This growth shows that fami-lies and established investors are taking advantage of low interest rates and investing in St Marys.”

For those looking to break into the investment market, Mr Diamantidis says there are still lots of opportunities in the St Marys area.

“Even with housing prices going up, there is still a great deal for investors in St Marys,” he said.

“Recent rezonings by Penrith Council have spurred on major developments in the St Marys CBD including new units and apartments.”

I f you are looking for Rams Home Loans Penrith and you head to its original loca-tion, you won’t have any

luck because the local home loan centre has settled in a great new location.

In a sign of great success, Rams Penrith has moved from its small offi ce on the corner of High and Evan Streets to a much larger offi ce at 235 High Street, Penrith.

The team celebrated the offi cial

opening of the offi ce last month with a huge party.

“We started nine years ago with just myself, my husband and the dog. We started with no clients and now look at where we are. We are one of the biggest Rams offi ces in the country,” said Rams Penrith Principal, Robyn Cheal.

“It is a measure of our success that we have been able to move to an offi ce this big. We came from a place that was three times smaller

than this – so we have expanded big time.”

The move was required after the team out-grew its last offi ce and since the move, morale has been high.

But it is not just the Rams Penrith team that has benefi ted from the move, the centre’s local clients are now able to enjoy the new space as much as staff .

“Where we are now we have off -street parking, which means that

our clients can just get in and out with ease if they need to. We now have interview rooms that are totally separate to the rest of the offi ce, which is much quieter and more private for clients, and we even have a space for our clients’ kids,” Ms Cheal said.

Almost 90 per cent of Austral-ians do not have a relationship with a fi nancial adviser, recent research has revealed. Children’s Cancer Institute is the only independent

medical research facility in Australia wholly dedicated

to childhood cancer.

This September, PRDnationwide is proud to join

McDonald Jones Homes, Wearn Brothers Group and

Austral Bricks to Build for a Cure.

In just 21 days, volunteer crews will work 24/7 to build a

brand new ‘Havana One’ 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom home in Glenmore Park (NSW). The home

will be auctioned by PRDnationwide Penrith on 26 October, fully furnished by Freedom,

with kitchen and laundry appliances by Electrolux and home entertainment by Panasonic.

Proceeds from the sale will go directly to research into finding a cure for childhood cancer.
