ORDERS IN COUNCIL.WHEREAS by section 33 of the Land Act, 1933-1956, it is made lawful for the Governor to directthat any reserve shall vest in and be held by anymunicipality, road board, or other person or per-sons to be named in the order in trust for the likeor other public purposes to be specified in suchorder: And whereas it is deemed expedient as fol-lows:

Corr. No. 1286/56.That reserve No. 24518should vest in and be held by the Halls Creek RoadBoard in trust for Road Board Purposes.

Corr. No. 4839/48.That reserve No. 24945should vest in and be held by the Katanning RoadBoard in trust for the purpose of Children's PlayGround.

Corr. No. 429/58.That reserve No. 24950should vest in and be held by the Perth Road Boardin trust for the purpose of Park and Gardens.

No. 3151/17.WHEREAS by section 33 of the Land Act, 1933-1956, it is made lawful for the Governor to directthat any reserve shall vest in and be held by anymunicipality, road board, or other person or per-Sons to be named in the order, in trust for any ofthe purposes set forth in section 29 of the saidAct, or for the like or other public purposes to bespecified in such order, and with power of sub-leasing; and whereas it is deemed expedient thatreserve A23855 should vest in and be held by theMerredin Road Board in trust for Recreation:Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor, byand with the advice and consent of the ExecutiveCouncil, doth hereby direct that the beforemen-tioned reserve shall vest in and be held by theMerredin Road Board in trust for Recreation, withpower to the said Merredin Road Board subject tothe approval in writing of the Minister for Landsbeing first obtained to lease the whole or any por-tion of the said Reserve for any term not exceeding21 years from the date of the lease.



Corres. No. 1153/56.WHEREAS by section 33 of the Land Act, 1933-1956, it is, inter alia, made lawful for the Governorto direct that any land reserved pursuant to theprovisions of the Act shall be leased for the pur-pose for which the land is reserved as aforesaid,by instrument of lease in accordance with the formin the Fourth Schedule of the Act, to any person(as defined in the said section); and whereas it isdeemed expedient that Milyuga Location 1 (reserveNo. 24966) shall be leased for a term of 21 yearsto the Commonwealth of Australia for the purposeof a Meteorological Station Site: Now, therefore,His Excellency the Governor, by and with the ad-vice and consent of the Executive Council, dothhereby direct that the abovementioned reserve shallbe leased for a term of 21 years to the Common-wealth of Australia for the purpose of a Meteoro-logical Station Site at an annual rental of fivepounds.

No. 6502/20, Vol. 2.WHEREAS by section 34 of the Land Act, 1933-1956, it is made lawful for the Governor, by Orderin Council, without issuing any deed or grant, toplace any reserve under the control of any muni-cipality, road board, or other person or persons, asa board of management, and to empower such

board to make, repeal, and alter by-laws for thecontrol and management of such reserves, and pre-scribe fees for depasturing thereon or other usethereof, and for other purposes, such by-laws to beapproved by the Governor and published in theGovernment Gazette; and whereas it is deemed ex-pedient that reserve No. 17841 for the purpose ofWater should be placed under the control of Messrs.John Gilbert Mott and William James O'Brien asa board of management: Now, therefore, His Ex-cellency the Governor, by and with the advice andconsent of the Executive Council, doth hereby placethe beforementioned reserve under the control ofJohn Gilbert Mott and William James O'Brien as aboard of management, and doth empower suchboard to make, repeal, or alter by-laws for the con-trol and management of the said reserve; for pre-scribing fees for depasturing thereon or other usethereof; for directing the manner in which suchfees shall be imposed, paid, collected and disposedof, and to impose penalties not exceeding in anycase £5 for any breach thereof and £2 a day for acontinuing breach, but not more than £20 in theaggregate.

Applications must be lodged at the Department of Lands and Surveys, Perth, not later than the date specified, butmay be lodged before such date, if so desired.

All applications lodged on or before such date will be treated as having been received on the closing day, and if thereare more applicants than one for any block, the application to be granted will be determined by the Land Board. Shouldany lands remain unselected such will continue available until applied for or otherwise dealt with.

If a Land Board sitting becomes necessary, the applicants for the blocks will be duly notified of the date, time, andplace of the meeting of the Board, and there shall be an interval of at least seven days between the closing date and the sittingof the Board.

All indigenous marketable timber, including sandalwood and mallet, is reserved to the Crown, subject to the provisionsof Clause 14 of the Regulations.

Packing Requirements.Class B poisons shall be packed asfollows when accepted on normal receiving days:-

44 gallon drums. Only new steel drums of not less than18 gauge shall be used. Drums with severe dents due torough handling shall be rejected.4 gallon drums. Only new drums, lined where necessaryshall be used. Drums with severe dents due to roughhandling shall be rejected.1 gallon tins shall be packed in wooden boxes or newcorrugated cardboard or fibreboard cartons of sufficientstrength to give adequate protection. Wood shavings orsawdust may be used and the tins shall be tightly packedso that they cannot move in the cases. Not more than sixtins shall be packed in one outer container.Small packages in tins, bottles or cartons shall be packed inwooden boxes or new fibreboard or corrugated cardboardcartons of adequate strength to protect the contents fromcrushing or breakage. The individual containers shall beseparated by wooden, corrugated cardboard or fibreboardpartitions and sawdust or other packing material may beused. The contents of the case shall be tightly packed sothat no movement is possible inside the package. Notmore than two gallons in bottles or six gallons in tins shallbe packed in any one outer container.
