Missionary News July 19, 2015
Praise the Lord we are now meeting on Sundays at 9:30 am. It has
been nice to see people more awake and alert in the services and it
has allowed us to have picnics after the service celebrating the
Day of the Child and
Mothers Day. The marriage course we held was a great success, we
started with 2
couples and increased to 5 couples. We received a lot of
positive feedback,
one couple even told us that it was a Godsend, as they had been
struggling
and looking for help. Praise the Lord for his great
orchestration! We hope to
hold the course again in the coming months to reach out to
couples who are
not currently connected with the church. We are praying for open
doors, to
be able to be a blessing to couples here in Kelowna.
Many of the migrant workers we had contact with last year, have
returned this year. Some have been able to make it to church a
couple of times and Alberto is holding a weekly bible study with
them again this year. They are working through a discipleship book
which requires them to use a bible to look up scripture and answer
questions. Most of them are Catholics from
birth, but this is their first time really looking into
scripture for themselves. We pray that God would reveal himself
through his living and active word.
May 1st marked one year in Kelowna. The time seems to have flown
by,
and makes us wonder, have we made the most of our time? It is
our prayer
and desire that God is glorified every day in our lives and
ministry. Thank
you to all of you who have stood with us.
